Hey y'all! I wanted to know what y'all and Krin thought of this idea:
Alright, so you know how you can't breed together Sylesti's that are too closely related? But, it allows you to test breed them. This can make things a little tricky if you hadn't known much about the game and ended up with a lot of pairs of too-closely-related themed. So, what if it didn't allow you to test breed the pets that are unable to bred together? Like, you can't match up the siblings or offsprings-parents/grandparents and then be able to see what they might create together. Instead, it could give you a message saying that they're too closely related to test breed together.
Lemme know what y'all think of this idea. I know a friend of mine said it can help when it comes to creating project pets and offsprings immensely, since they'll be so identical during the process.
(I've kinda brought this up because as it turns out, some of my pets are siblings/offspring and parent. This kinda dampers attempting to sell their offspring. XD)

Test breed is just a fusion of what a pet might look like when bred with the other. It doesnt access the database to see if the pets are related until you press the button to breed them. This would be a crazy amount of coding needed for something that you can literally do by looking to see if the pairs share the same parents/one parent or are the child of the pet you are trying to breed.

Oh. Ok. Thank you for letting me know. I see the amount of coding it would require.

Something I'd like to see would be once you select a pet, pets it would be unable to mate with would be marked in red or with a * or something. That way you don't have to go through the list checking to see which pets can breed.
That being said, Krin is planning on overhauling the breeding system sometime, so hopefully we'll see some suggested changes in the updated version. :3
Also, I'm not sure what you mean by lineage affecting selling? Inbreeding doesn't really matter - most projects tend to be inbred as it is because it's easier to get traits/stats. Conservation of resources/time, y'know lol. Unless I'm misunderstanding something xD

Oh! I thought inbreeding was a big no no in projects and what not. Thank you for letting me know otherwise. XD
Some of my higher inbreeding percentages. They arent at max yet so that will be higher at max. Cause its cheaper to only use 2 pairs to max..... yeah i have cousins breeding with cousins

Oh. Alright. I just wasn't sure how far back a pet needed to be related to another to be inable to breed. I know siblings and parents-offspring can't breed, but I'm not sure about grandparents-grandkids.
