This game should consider adding the feature that when an enemy is defeated, the player receives a small amount of gold. :) :)

It would make new players more amped to farm and battle, and also doesn't disadvantage them by them running out of gold from reviving and healing.

The rate at which gold can be gained is too slow for the amount a new player initially spends.

Anyway. Big, big fan.<3<3<3

You can get gold from chests/boxes found while exploring, and from selling off the junk equips (to the site) and any exp orb drops (on trade broker) you get from beating enemies.

Additionally, there's guides in the player guides forum on the subject to help newbies with making gold? The Guide to Making Gold and the Guide to Mission Pets and Missions

Missions are the primary way of making money for many people, and provide you with gold, healing items, and equipment- you can see mission payouts recorded here in this mission science thread we made

(also, as a suggestion, this should really be in the Suggestion Box forum)

(also, I decided to have a glance at your team, and you'll want to swap Falin's relic at the least- she currently has a Physical type relic, rather than a Magical-type relic, which means she's doing less damage than she should be, as it's giving her a +137 boost to the wrong damage stat. We can provide more help on team setup if you'd like, to help make your fights easier, but that was something that jumps out as immediately notable)

Thank you so much for the reply! :) I appreciate you taking the time to have a look at this and my team! :D

I will have a look at what I've got and make the change! Thanks again! You're the best! :D <3

okay, Sol Terre, Vertahn, and Falin

Falin, being Shadow element, should be running Tank in slot 1
Shadow is a Magical element (shadow, fire, light), so you want gear that emphasizes the Int stat, and being a shadow tank specifically, gear that emphasises Int/Agi; agi controls defence and Evasion (though the name 'agility' might imply that it is the stat that controls a pet's speed, both agi and dex affect speed equally)
So since she's a shadow tank, the best equipment is Illusionist gear. In two more levels, when she's lv50, I'd suggest getting a full compliment of lv50 legendary gear for her (lv50 legendary gear is some of the easiest to get, as they are a possible drop from lv50 Very Hard mission satchels. You can either get them that way or off of the trade broker) (this goes for the other two as well)

On profs, I know nothing about setting up shadow tanks, I don't use them, but 1hp/1int is probably fine

Sol Terre, as a light pet and presumably the party healer, is also a magical element- so Int stat gear again.
As a healer rather than a tank, however, you'll want to emphasise the dex stat, which controls Accuracy and critical hit chance. Since the tank in slot 1 will be taking most of the hits, they need evasion and defence, but the other pets don't need that as much, and make much better use of increased chances to hit their target and crits.
Critical hits don't affect light's later abilities (restoration, divine balance), but they do affect beam and fairy light. More damage from them on the enemy means the party heals more.
The gear you want for Int/Dex is Evoker.

Profs on a 2-prof light healer, I'd say 2int is best, followed by 1int/1dex

Vertahn is a fire attacker, and a third magical element (very magic heavy team, this, no phys at all)
So again, fire = magic = int
non-tank/attacker = dex
so Evoker here too.
Profs are either 2int or 1int/1dex, with no particular preference to either- Air and Fire elements both rely on critical hits to inflict their base attack's debuffs on enemies.

(for physical elements, Assassin is for phys tanks- water tanks, earth tanks, while Myrmidon is for air attackers, and can also be used by water buffers)

Also, with missions, make sure the mission pets you have are entirely set up (profs, equips), as doing better (getting 'exceptional' outcome) gets the best rewards. you can unlock mission slots at the same places you unlocked party slots, so you can have a max of six missions going at once. People who do missions a lot tend to have 5-10 mission pets, two set up for each stat, so they can either run hard+very hard for the same stat at once, or esior's haven+sanctuary of saerielle very hard missions at the same time

Another thing I forgot to mention is that Spring Festival should be starting in... what, 12-ish hours? around that. Exploring the fest zone is also a good way to get gold (many things you can sell, chests/boxes, rewards for completing fest task board activities)

WOW! This is an exceptionally helpful breakdown! I'll have a look at trying to catch a another lvl 40ish pet and attune it to a physical damage prof. Think it might be a better fit for the team, maybe a water prof?

I've already started doing the missions, so I'm well on my way now! Sorry about putting this in the wrong forum discussion, I'm still trying to find my way around. You've been so friendly and kind, so thank you.

You've really helped me out here, also cannot wait to take part in my first festival! :D

depends what you'll use the pet for- tank (replacing the shadow tank (survivalist, drains enemy hp) with earth (minor enemy hp drain, sturdy, defence-oriented) or water (buffs team, debuffs enemies, minor team-healing skills via damage absorbtion)), buffing (swapping light healer for a water buffer), or attacking (going with an air attacker (focused single-target damage) rather than a fire attacker (spread damage, more effective when more enemies))

Each element is a bit different, it's fine to play about and find out what works for you. My own main team is Earth/light/air, with a secondary raised team of water/light/fire, and can go light/fire/air for some much later bosses who lie in the depths of the Lost Grove (and the trusty fest battleboard grinding setup of light/fire/fire for while the battle boards are running)
Many people can't work out how to use an earth tank, or a water tank, I myself go '???' at shadow tanks. People are individuals

I agree we should get gold from defeating enemies, as I don't really have a use for AP anymore, however it shouldn't be a large amount, as gold is rather easy to get when you try hard.

As Scath already stated, there are many ways to earn gold, you just have to spend a bit of time working for it, which is very fair in my eyes.

Also it's much cheaper to buy potions instead of using the healers, and when your pets faint, remove them from your party and wait a bit. They heal on their own, but it takes a while.

I'd also advise not to buy a bunch of pets or items, other than what you absolutely need, as when I first started, I spent all my gold on pets, which I regretted later. Until you get a decent amount of gold, I'd hold off on buying pets, as not only do they cost gold to buy, but they also cost gold to feed.

If you really want pets, there are a bunch of free pets for new players, I even offer a discount for new players at my sale thread. However you do have to be under lvl 30, or 100 days of playing.

I don't know if this is true for the early enemies (it's been a long 7 years since I was in the starting areas), but later on you absolutely get small bits of gold from the human enemies (bandits and what have you). It's not a lot, between 10 and 30 gold per enemy, but it is a thing. That said, gold from enemies is not going to make you rich XD
