what does the yellow genetics bar mean? and what happens if it reaches 0?

That is how hungry your pet is. If it is at zero it is malnourished and needs to be feed. This cost gold to feed them.

If it hits zero, the pet will go unconscious and their image will be greyed out on the stable page. You can't use them to fight, breed, etc, until they've been fed. It doesn't damage the pet or anything like that, so it's no big deal if it does hit zero. I would recommend hiring Rosemary the stablehand, she makes feeding your pets cheaper plus she feeds them automatically each day
