Hi, returning player here... Im on a tablet and dont know how to split items in my inventory anymore.
You know, a few years back I was so prideful to be a decently experienced player who didnt need to ask questions/go through guides in the forum. Ive regressed so much lol...

For the longest time you couldn't split stacks on mobile devices. Now we have the little pile of coins to the right of the envelope. Click the stack to split, click the coin pile, click an empty slot, and a pop up will ask how many to split.
