Hello! I realized I had this account from like 4 years ago and decided to get back into this game! I'm still learning how everything works (I've got quests and mission figured out I think) I'd appreciate if anyone could update me on what's been happening ^-^

And a few questions:

How valuable is gold on this site? I logged in with ~80k and I'm not sure if that's a lot or anything...
What does the little star on some of my sylesti's profile mean? (Ex: https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1491249)

Hi! Welcome back! I am not able to use that link, but if its a gold star/purple name that means its a tagged/first gen themed pet. Blue name means its a purebred offspring of the theme. 80k can buy you a bit, maybe a cool outfit or pet. To a new player I think its probably a lot, It really varies. I burn through my money pretty quick lol. Also I came back after four years a few months ago too lol! As far as updates, Im probably not the best player for that, but Nytekries are getting revamped soon, the winter festival is starting soonish, and I didnt remember Ferrikkis existing when I came back but maybe I just forgot lol. They are my favs!!! :3c

Welcome back!

80k is an ok amount, it probably wont get you too far though (I should talk, I currently have 4k lol). For a lower-level player, though, having 80k is really good, it's SO much harder to earn gold without having all the areas unlocked. (farming Trollsblight Caverns for gold might still be worthwhile at your stage)

As for your aurleon, she's a tagged theme! And a very old one at that, she's probably pretty valuable (not sure though, Aurleons aren't my specialty)

Themes are pets that have a specific color palette. For the most part, they can have any trait. They have a tag in their info box thing that tells you what theme they are. If it has a gold star, it's what's called a Tagged theme, it's a first-generation pet of it's theme. Pets with a blue star are Purebred Themes, and are the descendants of the tagged pets.

If you breed two pets of the same theme together, you get another pet of that theme! (they are purebred instead of Tagged though) Breeding a themed & nonthemed pet, or two pets of different themes, will result in an offspring that is not themed. The only exception are the Dawnbreaker and Frostkeeper Aeridinies, who can breed together to produce a third theme, the Mistwarden Aeridini (all Mistwardens are therefore purebred themes)

Taggeds are in general worth a bit more, and some people only collect the tagged ones. I have no preference and often times prefer purebred themes, they often are easier to get and have been bred to have more traits.

Themes can be found during festivals & events, can be found rarely in the Lost Grove region, and can be purchased from the Advanced Search!

Some themes have a specific restricted trait set, for example the Cute Witch Zolnixi. These are the Majestic catalysts during festivals.

Mutators and disruptors can be used to give normal themes some Restricted Traits, but Restricted Trait themes can only have the restricted traits of their set.

While themes all have a certain color palette, you can redye them and they still remain themed. This is typically only done to finished restricted trait theme projects and max stats, and besides that will typically devalue the pet. The fun part about redye themes is that you can reset the colors of their offspring and therefore be able to produce normal and recolor offspring from the same pair!

I hope I wasn't too confusing XD
