So i'm stuck in a position where I can't progress because the current zone (Faerina's Shrine, still doing the first quest in it...) is too difficult for the pets I have. I'm trying to save up for a third party slot but i have to keep reviving my party so now I'm less than halfway there again :( I thought I'd try to grind levels until i could put another point into their elements, but the previous area (Nightfall Bandit Camp) is too low level. I only get maybe 1-2 exp per enemy there. I'm so close (Level 28) but I went from 20k gold to 11k gold in under an hour just trying to get from 25 to 28.

So, now I'm in a position where i can either go broke trying to just, progress the actual game, or wait a few hours when my party is defeated about once every ten-fifteen minutes because the 3-5 star myconids and vorkids keep wiping me out. I don't have any better gear than what I'm currently equipping and can't afford to buy any, so i can't improve there either. I can't get my third party member because I can't progress on Quests to make bigger amounts of gold, so I have to rely on the random chests for anything significant.

I'm stuck and not having much fun; the levels up til now felt pretty well-balanced, but suddenly I'm really struggling to make any progress in the second zone. Is there anything I can do at this point other than just accept waiting a while every time?

1. You can leave your pets out of battle for a while and they will heal over time (healer fairies here to Take All Your Money with their scam)

2. To make gold, see guide to making gold and guide to mission pets and missions
> Missions are by far the best way to make gold with little effort, get you town reputation points (with high reputation with either of the towns you can get access to very good equips from their town halls), and mission satchels can give you additional gold, healing items, equips, and the very, very occasional essence (you can see some data here)
> Doing rounds of the festival zone is also good for making gold (if you buy some low-level pets and Philter of Unlearning (100 scales per philter from scale shop) them between lv10 and about lv25 you don't have to worry much about 3-enemy mobs; 2-enemy mobs seem to start showing up around lv18, and 3-enemy mobs at about 25)

The third area is definitely structured with the intent that you will have three pets in the party

(healing items from mission satchels beat out both waiting around for autoheal and scamfairies)

The festival zone can allow you to get alot of items and rare pets you can sale for gold on top of giving you exp when you fight in there. If it isn't enough, maby using pets with higher stats could help, i am not saying going full max stat here that would be a bit overkill but making a 4 boost brew pet or buying a cheep fabled pet (dont get a puff they dont usualy have as mutch boost) from the AS could be the help you nead. ^-^
