During the course of Sylestia's existence, a number of Themes have had their color palettes updated by the admins. This can become confusing, since the variance between two different palettes of the same Theme may not be obvious, depending on which Traits are Visible. Next thing you know, someone's third- or fourth-generation Purebred hatches with several Vis and muddy colors.

This thread presents those Themes that have more than one color palette, with details on dates of appearances and differences in the colors. It is a work in progress.

For palette sources, I kept in mind that the more Trait Points a Tamed or Exclusive Themed has, the closer its colors are to the ideal palette for that Theme.

Feel free to post information about Theme color palette changes, questions, comments, etc.

General note: With some Themes, the change in the color palette occurred when a Tamed pet Theme was switched to an Exclusive Theme. With some other Themes, the change in the color palette occurred when that Theme's species received an art re-vamp. Still other palette changes occurred for no known reason, so if you happen to know the reason, tell me!

Note about the thread: You may wonder why I give the different Theme versions alphanumeric designations, such as "T1" and "T2," instead of "Collector's Edition" and "Modern." There are two reasons. First, those terms aren't universal. Some players refer to "Original" and "New" versions of a Theme, or "Old" and "New." Second, there are actually some Themes that have more than two different color palettes! What would one call those? I have no idea, so I just came up with my own designations for use in this thread.

Aeridinies

Tiger Lily Aeridini Theme

The Tiger Lily Aeridini Theme debuted during the 2014 Spring Festival as a Tamed Theme. I call this "Tiger Lily T1," for "Tamed, version 1." Below are examples of Tiger Lily T1--

Source of colors: There are two Tiger Lily T1s who are Legendaries, having 6 Trait Points each: Blossom and Duke Lilium. Luckily for me, they have an offspring, whose colors are the basis of my examples, and whose Profile color palette is at the bottom of this entry.

The Tiger Lily Theme was also available as Tamed during the 2015 Spring Festival, but the color palette had changed. I call this "Tiger Lily T2," for "Tamed, Version 2." Below are examples of Tiger Lily T2--

Source of colors: There aren't any Legendary Tiger Lily T2s, but there are quite a few Epics. I couldn't find an offspring of two of them, so I used the colors of the youngest Epic, Eldritch Tiger, figuring if the palette had needed any tweaking, it would have been finished by the time the youngest came into existence.

Note: There are Exclusive Tiger Lily Aeridinies of each of these palettes, so it isn't possible to distinguish the two versions by whether a pet is Tamed or Exclusive.

The respective palettes look like this--

Faeloras

Morning Glory Theme

The Morning Glory Faelora debuted during the 2014 Spring Festival as a Tamed Theme. I call this "Morning Glory T1," for "Tamed, version 1." Below are examples of Morning Glory T1--

Source of colors: There is only one T1 who is a Legendary, having 6 Trait Points. She is 727870, and I used her colors as the basis of my T1 examples. Her Profile color palette is at the bottom of this entry.

The Morning Glory Theme was also available as Tamed during the 2015 Spring Festival, but the color palette had changed. I call this "Morning Glory T2," for "Tamed, Version 2." Below are generic examples of Morning Glory T2--

Source of colors: Again, there's only one Legendary Morning Glory T2, 1483913, so I used her colors as the basis of my T2 examples and put her Profile color palette at the bottom of this entry.

Note: There are Exclusive Morning Glory Faeloras of each of these palettes, so it isn't possible to distinguish the two versions by whether a pet is Tamed or Exclusive.

The respective palettes look like this--

Ferrikkies
Ferrikkies do not have more than one color palette for any of their Themes. Yet.
