Would I be able to use a Fire Dancer Disruptor on this guy if I open up a trait slot with a nullify philter? The description was kinda confusing, and I figured I'd ask before I possibly screw myself and this beautiful boy over. xD

You could, yes. It depends on which trait you null or any if you wanted a certain slot to be filled with a fire dancer trait. Fire dancer can go into G3, or any mutation slot.

If you wanted the fire dancer trait in G3, you would not need to nullify any trait. if you wanted say, fire dancer's mane, then you would want to null that slot and hope you get the mane.

A trait disruptor works by taking a regular visible trait and exchanging it for one of the restricted trait's set. The restricted trait can either replace that slot, or remove it and add a trait into a vacant slot. In Roy's case, you have a 100% chance to get fire dancer's mark in G3 if you don't null any traits. It will just replace the one there since it's not restricted itself.

If you want fire dancer mane though, it would be a 50% chance to get it. You would need to remove elven mane first, then disrupt and hope the trait given is M2. Because G3 is also a slot used by the fire dancer set though, it could go there and then you would be left with an empty M2 and fire dancer's mark.

If you want the best chance at the mane, since you can't use a restricted disruptor on a pet that has a trait from the set already, then use valentine lace if possible.

It will fill the G3. Then you can null M2 and use the fire dancer disruptor on Roy to get the mane. The disruptor will take either G1 or G2 and give the mane in return. ^-^
