you get one point per enemy defeated for each pet on your party- that is, the points go to the species of pet you are using; what the enemy/enemies happen to be is irrelevant.

So if you use a team of 1 aurleon, 1 bulbori, and 1 draeyl, and fight three enemies, you get 3 points on the aur board, 3 on the bulb board, and 3 on the drae board.

if you use a team of 2 nixi and 1 vul against three enemies, you'd get 6 nixi points and 3 vul points

if you used a team of 3 aeri against three enemies, you'd get 9 aeri points

You get points based on how many of the wild Sylesti enemies you defeat are the same species of your party pets. For example, if you have a Zolnixi (or two, or more) in your party, and most of the wild Sylesti enemies you defeat are also Zolnixi, most of your points will go toward the contest for that species. Also, Im pretty sure trapping doesnt count toward that.

This is incorrect. The species of the enemy has nothing to do with it. Bandits and water sprites count for the same number of points as wild pets.

Only the species in your party matters.

If it enemy species played into it, almost nobody would ever get points on the neph or ferri boards.

I meant one is more likely to place on a Battling leaderboard if one encounters a lot of Sylesti enemies that are the same species as the pets in ones party.

One is more likely to place on a murderboard if one is willing to sacrifice sleep and personal well-being to fight for hours on end.

The species of the enemies you encounter does not affect it at all.

But that is still incorrect. The best way to place on a battle board is to have a team of three of the same pet, that way all points go towards that particular battle board.

It doesn't matter whether you encounter sylestis, water sprites, bandits, or (I think) named, and it doesn't matter the species of sylestis.

The only thing that matters with regards to enemies, is how fast you can defeat each one, because the faster you defeat them the more battles you can do in a given period of time.

So you can have a team of all Nephs, and never encounter a single neph enemy, yet still easily place on the battleboard, if you are a fast fighter.

I would also like to point out that it makes much more sense for it to not be dependant on the species you encounter, because that would be massively unfair.

I love qitaris, but I usually see bulboris and morkkos. I am not fond of either of those species, so if my placing on a battleboard (if I ever get a team that can do it, and I get the motivation to) depended on, whether in part or in whole, the number of a specific species I fought, I would constantly be getting morks and bulbs and no qitaris, even aside from the fact that rikkis, and nephs are extremely rare encounters.

Also, Griffis, and the other species that are special to festivals (which my brain just forgot, Aeris are one?) only come in wild themed, you can't encounter a plain wild pet of those species you can only encounter themed, which means that players who want those battleboards would be very out of luck, especially if they have my themed luck :P

I've got a question building off of the original.

I used a 3 nixi team and defeated a handful of enemies everyday but my score is only a 6. Anyone know what happened there?

Well currently the contests aren't active, so if you've been fighting since the 24th, your score won't be going up. Only fights (and nurtures) during a round of contests show up as points.

If you were fighting while the boards were active, then I don't know.
