Saw this game mentioned in another thread and was curious how many people here play. For those who don't know, Don't Starve Together (and the original singleplayer version, Don't Starve) is a wilderness survival game. You can play a variety of characters who all have different personalities and abilities, from a girl who can summon her dead twin sister to a librarian who can write magical books, and you're up against everything from the weather to monsters that will wreck your base. Oh yeah, and you gotta keep yourself fed, too, and also not go insane or else you'll get murdered by shadow monsters.

It sounds intense, and it can be, but I'd describe the tone of the game as "whimsically macabre." It's dark in a funny way, rather than grimdark, and overall it doesn't take itself super seriously. After all, this is one of the things you're up against:



Anyway, if you play, who do you play? I'm usually Wigfrid (the actor stuck playing a Viking who can only eat meat) and I've begun learning how to play Wortox (the imp who needs to eat souls and is very guilty about it). I've been playing for well over two years now and I'm decent at the game, I think - I can survive solo for years and also handle the seasonal boss monsters on my own.

Main my boi Webber myself, his web beard and kinship with spiders and ability to eat monster meat is extremely useful and just love the concept of him in general :)

Before multiplayer Don't Starve existed though I mained Winston since attaining Webber is a bit complicated in Don't Starve + I am not a big fan of any of the other characters easily available from leveling tbh playstyle-wise


You spend any time in DST using mods? There are some really cool characters and tools people have created :)
