i want to make a lupora that looks like a watermelon
but i have no diamonds and only 2.5k gold

If you nurture a lot of pets for scales you can buy a dye at the scale shop and sell it, that's a good way to get gold when you're new.
It looks like lupora essences are 30k on the broker and the cheapest dye is 74k, so you should be able to sell one for 50k and still have some profit left over after buying a lup ess.
