Micheal was stalking around the streets at night, keeping a sharp eye out for Lilja Aricade, the one who killed the love of his life, Elise Flickers. He had gotten a tip that someone that looked like her was recently seen here. Gathering more information, it seemed like she was still around here somewhere. His golden wedding band gleamed in the light of a street light as he passed by. In the distance he saw a silhouette.
He drew closer and closer, his footsteps quiet. It was her. He crept up faster, but his skills were rusty and he went too fast because emotion was driving him to be too reckless. Lilja had heard his footsteps and ran away. He gave chase, but she slipped away out of his sight.
His fists tightened and flames burst out of his hands, engulfing them with heat. "You won't get away next time, mark my words..." The flames were as heated as his emotions, and the golden wedding band burned and pressed against his ring finger. His eyes were red, orange, and yellow as the flames climbed up higher. "Mark my words." He swung his hands and the flames extinguished, leaving him in the dim light of the flickering street lights.
Backstory:
Micheal Flickers was a bounty hunter, doing it for the money so he could pay for food and stays at inns. He often did not stay in one place for long, chasing one wanted criminal after another. He was good at what he did. But he often did it alone. He did not believe there was a God watching over him and that love would never touch his heart. That changed when he meet Elise.
Elise was a beautiful woman who fussed and worried about his safety and begged him to quit his bounty hunter work while he was looking for it. They were in love and later married and lived together. While Micheal settled for being a carpenter instead, Elise ran for a place in the government. When Elise was killed and Lilja escaped, he was enraged and hit by immense grief. So he went back to his bounty hunter business and said that no one else is going after her until he's dead.

Lilja huffed, slipping into a back alley. Several men ran past, with weapons in their hands. She tightened her hold on the dagger in her cloak. It wasn't very safe here, not anymore. She slipped her hood over her white hair, signifying her ice dragon roots. She glanced out, stepping into the nighttime streets. She had a long ways to walk.
Backstory:
Lilja's father was a high-ranked government official. Her mother was a well-known seamstress. She had everything. Even her magical power was above the average, and she was granted a position in the government. She had many enemies. Of course, she couldn't keep track of them. She soon met Elise, and they became friends. Friends, until it happened. Originally, the attacker was after Lilja. But Elise protected her, and Elise died instead. She died in Lilja's arms, and it was quite suspicious when guards walked in to see Lilja in Elise's blood, with her lifeless body in her arms. She had no choice to run. No choice to flee.
Her parents abandoned her. They didn't want their positions to be lowered because of their murderous daughter. There wasn't anyone to protect her, but the day Lilja left her home city, she vowed to find whoever killed Elise. And send them straight to the guillotine, like they had tried to do her.

(Oof, I messed up in writing my scene. I still remember Lilja was framed for the murders.)
Micheal was roaming around in a small town that was near the base of a tall mountain range. Pine trees dusted with snow encircled the town and stretched onto the horizon. Dry gusts of air from the mountains blew down on the town. Some dragons flew down and shifted back into humans, continuing their everyday life. Strange noises coming from deeper in the pine forest could be heard from here, though it didn't seem to be bothering the townspeople. Focusing on the task at hand, he scanned any crowds or passerby for anyone that resembled Lilja.

Lilja was walking through that very same crowd, with a hood over her white hair. The events of the past still haunted her...she was being framed for the murder of Elise, her best friend...It was heartbreaking. But she had to keep going. to find Elise's murderer, even if it cost her life.

(okay I read her backstory)
Micheal spotted Lilja in the crowd. He decided that he would- "Hello there, sir!" a young man said. He was pulling a wagon full of popcorn that came in a wide variety. "Would you like some popcorn? Three gold for each cone!" He could still see Lilja and this might be a good way to pretend he didn't see her. "Alright," Micheal said, and bought a cone, glancing every now and then as discrete as he can to see where Lilja was while doing so.
The crowd seemed to be going outside of the village, to the pine forest, where the sound of singing ice was louder. "Hehe, Marsha, you've never really heard singing ice before?" a little boy with white hair says. "Nu-uh! Never knew ice could sing before!" Marsha says. "Well, after this, I'll show you the forest! A tour for your first day here in our village!" The rest of the crowd seem to be made up of what might be the little boy's and Marsha's family.

She glanced back, unaware of the hunter on her heels. She followed the crowd to the edge of the forest, before turning off into her own path. She didn't need anyone recognizing her.

Micheal followed Lilja at a fair distance until he deemed they were far enough from the others. His fire magic was usually unreliable unless he was using it on his fists, but he was able to make a ring of flames around Lilja that reached up to her shoulders. The fire melted the snow and burned the dry grass under it. The ring didn't leave much space for Lilja to move.
"Did you really think you could run away from the consequences of what you did?" he said. His right hand was on the revolver in case she manages to run away. He was tense and ready if she decided to shift into her dragon form to fly away. Even if she tried to shift, she would still be burned. He narrowed his eyes at her, his face was contorted with anger. "She cared about you, she trusted you, and you repaid her with a stab in the back. Lowlifes like you deserve much worse than death."

Lilja turned to Micheal. " I didn't hurt her! " She glanced at the ring of fire around her. She could swiftly thaw it out with ice, but she didn't. Not yet, anyway. She truly wanted to clear up this misunderstanding. " I would never hurt her. Please, you have to believe me. "

"Liar!" He shifted and reared back on his hind legs and flared his wings. He glowered at Lilja with his now yellow eyes. The smoke coming from his snout billowed. Fire built up in his throat, but he puffed the fire to the side, remembering she was supposed to be captured alive. He growled before going back on all fours and reaching out to take her.

She sighed quietly, turning and washing her hand over the ring of fire, swiftly covering it in ice. She turned and ran, going much faster as she laid out a trail of ice to slide on. Once she was in the cover of the woods, she shifted, a blue light surrounding her before taking off into the sky.

Micheal growled and took off as well after hearing the distant flap of wings. Liljah has an advantage during this early winter day, when ice magic was boosted and the skies were cloudy and the ground mostly covered in snow, letting her scales blend in with the clouds (at least somewhat) or snow. But Micheal was adamant and there wasn't anyone here to stop him. He searched around for the ice dragon.
