So first of all, let me say: Do not post on this thread!!!
If you wish to say something to me, whether for or against a story, please pm me.
These stories are for me, not for you. I only wish to share them with others who may enjoy them.
They are mainly going to be open-ended. That means the ending is up to the reader to decide what happens. If you come to me complaining that you don't like how it ends, you will only be reminded that there isn't one.
As a warning, these stories tend to be on the darker side. It's honestly my nature to write in this fashion, though the open ending means that it could be a happy ending instead of, well, not one. I do not write anything that would be seen as inappropriate for maybe up to 15 years old, depending on personal opinion.
These stories also do not usually go into detail. I rely on vagueness and the reader's imagination to fill in the blanks. Though sometimes I do tell how something(one) may look, it's fairly rare. I also do not give names, places, dates, or anything of that nature in my stories. I may say something like "in a forest" but will not give actual place names.
These are short stories and length will vary, sometimes widely. Some may only be a few sentences, some may be paragraphs. They each will have their own title that will give the overall theme of the story.
I am willing to take requests, maybe. You can pm me with a word or phrase that you would like to see made into a story and I will see if my mind cooperates to give one. Do not give me a full story you would like to see written. If you have the story already in your mind, then perhaps you should write it?
Another warning, I am not making you read these stories. If you start, decide you don't like it, and then keep reading, you have no basis to come and complain to me. You are grown enough to know that you should not finish it if you don't like it to begin with.
If you wish to be put on some sort of ping list, please pm me. I will be happy to do so.

The Mistake
She knew she shouldn't have done it. That it was the worst mistake she had ever made. She knew she was not to touch the book.
But she couldn't help it. What did it matter that only her grandmother, the witch-woman of their tribe, was allowed to touch the book. That even after her grandmother died, it would then pass to her mother, and she still would not be allowed to touch! It was too tempting!
So she made her last mistake.
And now here she sat, tied to a pole in the middle of the forest. With the whole tribe around her.
Why did she touch that book?!
She knew the consequences. That if anyone other than the witch-woman touched the book, they would belong to the forest.
And the beast inside.
But it was just too tempting for her.
The tribe all looked at her. Some with sadness, some with disappointment, and others with something else showing on their faces. So many emotions were being shown by her small tribe.
They started to leave, one by one, until just her mother and grandmother stood there. Then they too left.
She waited.
But it was not for long before she heard the noise. The crunching of leaves under feet, or paws, or hoofs perhaps. None had ever seen the beast, so none knew what it looked like. Only that those sacrificed were never seen again, not even when one went back to check the next morning.
Only the rope dangling from the post was found.
The sound grew louder, and closer. Soon she could see a shape in the dark. It had finally come.
She opened her mouth and screamed.

The Doll
Upon a shelf, within a store, sat a doll. A doll that had been there for a long time. A doll that no one ever wanted.
This doll, it was ugly. Hideous. Disgusting to look at. Children would see it and cry. Men would see it and cringe. Women would see it and faint.
So no one ever bought it.
So there it sat.
One day a man entered the store. He perused around, looking for a gift. He searched the entire store and finally came upon the doll.
However, he did not cringe like all the other men. He stared at the doll.
The doll stared back. Dressed in a pale blue dress, with ribbons and frills. With golden curls down to its shoulders. It had the smallest pout on its lips and the bluest eyes one had ever seen.
The man smiled. His teeth yellowed and crooked. Eyes sunken in, crossed, and black as night. His skin pitted and scarred.
He told the doll, "Do not worry, I think you're beautiful just the way you are."
And picked the doll up.

The Secret
Within his room, he kept a secret. A secret he didn't want to get out. A secret that was his and his alone.
He didn't want anyone to know this secret. He was frightened of what others might do. So he kept the secret locked away.
But he couldn't keep it forever. It would have to be known eventually.
The night finally came. During dinner one night, the secret would no longer be kept. A thump was heard from his room and he knew then that the secret would be found.
He knew what trouble he would be in when it was discovered. He knew that everyone would look at him differently. That they would see him in a new light.
His family and friends all gathered in front of his door. Wondering what the noise was and what could have possibly created it.
He came last. He came to the door slowly. He never wanted them to know.
But now they would know. And so, he opened the door.
He allowed his family to view his secret.
