Ps: Im deciding to add a pinglist for anyone who wants to be pinged whenever I add more.

pinglist:

Chapter 1: Before

Ciki Alusa Verenda(Previously Leone) was born January 28th 1738 to Duke Alucard Leone and Princess Sierra Verenda Lucalla, who later became Duchess Leone. The family was far from perfect. Her father hated the fact that he was forced to be wed to a woman he didn't love, because of a child he didn't love. So most of the short time she lived with her parents, she never saw her father. Her mother shared the same feelings about the marriage, and the child. To be frank, Ciki was unwanted. She spent most of her days studying, or practicing. She barely ever saw her parents face, and when she did, it wasn't a good face. Despite everything she did right, it seemed her parents only noticed her when she did wrong. They hated her. But they needed her to succeed the title. Until they didn't. One day, her father came home with another child. A daughter, born from his lover. She was older than Ciki, meaning that she was born before her parents were married. The girl had beautiful blue eyes and luxurious blonde hair. She was like a little doll, who had managed to infatuate both parents. Somehow. Nontheless, Ciki continued her usual studying and practicing. And on her 11th birthday, her nanny had given her a whip. A beautiful metal one with hooks on the end, and her named carved into the hilt. It was perfect. It was hers. Until her half sister came along. Now, her half sister was 12. A year older than Ciki. And she wanted everything she had. The girl wasn't smarter than Ciki, or stronger, but she had something better. Love. The love of their parents. And that's all she needed. So one day, she went to her father in his office.

" Father. " she called, stepping into his office with her Dark blue dress on.

The Duke looked up, seeing it was his favorite child. " Yes Azela? " he replied kindly.

Azela put on her cute innocent look, seeing that she had his attention. " w-well, father, sister Ciki recently got a pretty whip for her birthday...and I was wondering if i could have it. "

The Duke nodded. " of course. I'll get Terrance to order you one right aw- "

" No, father. I want hers. "

" But Azela..."

Her blue eyes began tearing up. " i-I see...so you prize her over me...I just wanted a pretty whip because I spent most of my life envying the other noble children when they had theirs..."

The Duke sighed. " Alright hon, calmed down. I'll talk to Ciki. "

The tears instantly disappeared and Azela beamed. " Thank you father! " she said, walking out of the room and closing the door. She glanced around, then up at the stairs. A mischievous smirk was planted on her lips, as she began going up the stairs towards her sisters room, knowing at this time of day, she was most likely doing her etiquette lessons.

The young girl slowly cracked open the door, peaking her head in. It was empty. Of course. She slid into the room, closing the door behind her as she began searching the room for the whip. She finally spotted it on the vanity, grabbing it as her sister walked into the room.

" Azela. Why are you in my room, with my whip? Are you stealing it? " Ciki asked, anger growing in her.

Azela rolled her eyes. She didn't have to put up the act with Ciki and she smirked. " No. It's mine. Father said I could have it. "

" That father of yours didn't even give it to me. So no it isn't. " Ciki replied, walking towards her and reaching for it.

Azela pulled it away. " it was bought by your maid with her wages. And who pays her wages? Father. "

Ciki shoved her back. " I don't care. It's mine! " she said, grabbing the hilt of the whip and slinging it.

What happened next was a blur. The whip came down ono Azela, the hooks latching onto her skin as the rest of the whip slashed her.

The quarrel of the sisters attracted the attention of the workers, who screamed when they saw Azela get whipped. Ciki stepped back, seeing her half sister bleeding out on the floor, unconscious. She dropped the whip, turning to face her parents. Her mother rushed to Azelas side, while her father raised his hand and smacked Ciki across the face.

" Ciki Alusa Leone, that is the last straw! How dare you hit you're sister over something so trivial?! " she father spat in anger.

Ciki didn't say anything for a couple of moments. " Trivial? "

" Yes! For all her life, you're sister didn't have anything! Because of you! And you could at least give her the things she wants! "

Ciki's gold eyes glared up at the man who claimed to be her father. " Fine. " She snatched the whip up. " I'll leave. I'll let Azela become the heir, because that's something of mine she also wants to covet, right? "

" You...You were never the heir! Azela is my firstborn child! "

" Duke, has that brat broken you're mind so much that you've forgotten the law of the country? No firstborn child born out of wedlock can become the heir to any household. "Ciki said.

Her father glared at the small 11 year old child. He couldn't argue with that. It was the law, whether he liked it or not.

" Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pack. " Ciki said, going to the door and opening it, then stepping aside. " So get out my room. "

Chapter 2: The department

Word quickly got out across high society about the quarrel between the Duke Leones young daughters. It started with a maid from the Dukes household telling everything to several maids from influential families. Those maids told their masters wives, and it spread. However, by the time it reached the King and Queen, it was very much so well twisted.

Ciki decided to stay with her parents until she came of age. It wouldn't be good for an 11 year old girl to be wandering the streets at these times.

2 months after the incident, her father had called her into his office.

She opened the door to his office stepping inside the room. " You called, Duke? " she asked, in her usual apathetic tone.

" His majesty the king has requested an audience with you. " The Duke said.

Ciki's eyes shone for a moment. The king was her half-uncle, her mothers half brother. He was more like a father to her than her own, and he adored Ciki. Not to mention best of all, he hadn't met Azela yet. Meaning she didn't have him wrapped around her finger either.

" ...and Azela. " He finished.

Her mood was instantly destroyed. " When? "

" Tomorrow, at 3 o'clock. "

" Why? "

" Most likely to reprimand you for attacking Azela. "

Attacking. Thats the word he wanted to use, huh? " Azela is in no condition to go see the king of our country. My uncle. "

" Ciki, the doctor has cleared Azela. Shes fine. " He replied, his irritation clear as day.

" Her face isn't. "

" Ciki! "

" Have you told her? "

" ...Yes. Shes fine with it. "

" ..." Ciki had no more words, and just huffed, turning around and leaving the office. She marched up to her room, calling her maids to get her riding outfit. They quickly assembled the outfit, leaving Ciki to change on her own. Exactly how she liked it.

.......................................................................................................................................................

The next day, Ciki walked down the stairs, tugging a bit on her tight dress. It was a beautiful gold dress. She looked up, seeing her half sister and her mother. Her mother was talking to the young child, while Azela was fixing the cloth that she'd hung over her face. She noticed Ciki and sent her a stern glare, and her mother turned to her too.

" Ciki. " her mother said, approaching.

" ..." she seemed like she was going to say something, but didn't. " ...Just...Don't ruin Azela's chance to become queen. "

Ciki looked up at her mother with a confused expression. " ...Is that why his majesty summoned us? Or will Elios be there? "

The duchess nodded. " Yes, Prince Elios will be there. Hopefully he will take a liking to Azela. "

Ciki scoffed inwardly. Even if her half cousin did take a liking to Azela, he wouldn't marry her. Her father may be Duke Leone, there's no way Queen Menessa would allow Azela to marry Elios. The most she would get is the title as his concubine. Nontheless, Ciki plastered a smile on her face. " Yes, Duchess. "

The Duchess nodded. " The carriage is outside. "

Ciki walked pasted Azela, ignoring her. Azela followed. " Don't ruin my chance to become Elios' bride. "

She rolled her eyes. " I know Elios, and I know Queen Menessa. She wouldn't allow a low-born such as your self become queen. "

Azela's teeth gritted. " Not if I prove that I'm more worthy than you. "

" Please, Azela. You were born and raised in the slums. No matter what, you're a slum-baby. "

Azela walked past her and into the carriage. " Shut up. "

Ciki got into the carriage with her and the door closed, the carriage moving towards the castle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An hour later, the carriage stopped in front of the large castle. The attendant came over and opened the door, Ciki stepping out before Azela could and walking towards the castle. Azela quickly caught up to her, raising her head high as if Ciki was below her in status.
The head maid, who Ciki was well acquainted with, lead the two girls to the garden, where the king and queen were. It was clear that the head maid didn't like Azela. Nobody in the castle did. After all, they were heavily dedicated to their royalty, which included Ciki. A princess.
Ciki smiled when she saw her aunt and uncle, along with her half-cousin.
She curtsied, along with Azela. " King Elijah, Queen Menessa. Prince Elios. " Ciki greeted them warmly.
Her uncle chuckled. " Ciki, what did I tell you about using our titles to address us? " He gestured for her, and she walked over, he picking her up and siting the child on his lap. They seemed to be purposely ignoring Azela.
" Well, I just didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea. You know, " she looked at Azela. " Thinking that they were on par with me. "
Azela sent a firey glare at Ciki, but no one could tell that well, not with that cloth to hide her hideous wound.
The queen looked at Azela and immediately frowned. " Ah? So this is the girl Alucard so recklessly decided to bring into his noble household. Honestly, what a shame. "
Azela, seeing that this was a chance to make a good impression, put her 8 months of teaching into play. " Your Majesties. My name is- "
The Queen cut her off with a wave of her hand. " We don't care who you are. But it seems you have forgotten. You are not above the Duke. You are not above Ciki. You aren't above even the lowest of servants, because no matter how laviously its dressed, a wench's child can only be a wench. "
Azela shut her mouth, quickly, seeing that she was unwanted.
" Mother, I don't think that's necessary. " Elios suddenly spoke up.
" Elios, you have always been kind, even to the lowest of people. " The king said. " But she is a ****** child. She has no place in the Ducal house of Leone. "
