I tried buying a hair style with AP. I selected the item and nothing happened. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. Can someone explain this to me? Like do I have to be a certain level to buy stuff with AP?

In the corner of the box, there is a little treasure bag symbol. You need to click on that symbol and it will bring up a popup with two gray options that say Unlock with AP or Unlock with Diamonds. Click on Unlock With AP, and the Unlock button will become green. Press that.
