The girl you see over there, yes, under that old willow tree, has a story to tell you. Now, come closer. Yes. Sit down. There we go. Now, listen...

. . .

"Momma! Don't leave me!" Cried the little girl. Now, this little girl's name was Laura. Laura Jones. She was in her little dress, watching her momma in the fire. Her momma was dancing without her. "Momma! Let me dance!" She cried to the hot flames. She ran to the flames and watched her momma die. The little girl was carried away from the flames. Now, some years later, the little girl, now older, was sitting under a willow tree, speaking to the animals. "I wish I were like a little rabbit, jumping around." She said wistfully. "Your momma didn't leave you, did she?" She watched the little rabbit hop around and nibbling grass. She pulled out a carrot she took from the kitchen. "Mr. Ryans said I am too wild." Said Laura. Mr. Ryans was a kind man who had adopted Laura after her parents died after the fire. Mr. Ryans was kind, but extremely strict as well. He only meant well to the child. He gave her food and water, a shelter to sleep in. And many servants as well, but Laura only want freedom. She did not want luxury. Her only friends were the animals, and the animals loved her. She was the only one who fed them and cared for them.

"Do not worry, child." a soft voice said behind her. Laura turned around. "You will have freedom."

"I will?" Cried Laura happily. "But who are you?"

"I cannot tell you that, child. But I can tell you that I will give you freedom, if you do me 3 tasks." the lady said. But, if you look closely at her eyes, you would see a just a tiny gleam of hatred and evil.

"Yes! I certainly will if it means freedom, but I do not wish to harm anyone." She said worriedly.

"Yes, but it will be worth it, child." the lady replied quickly. But Laura looked uncertain.

... Pause the story for now ... Please don't post ... I'll get back to this later ...
