I would like to know as I'm having a hard time beating Aryth in Aryth's spire.

Unfortunately, you can only rank up your attacks in the Lost Grove, which is the zone after the one you are currently in.

saying "the zone after" is pretty misleading, since the zone after aryth's spire is Sweet Blossom Orchard, the first zone of the third region (it is possible that you confused 'zone' and 'region', Larkien?).
The Lost Grove only unlocks once you've completed both SBO and Astryl's Tranquility in the third region
