Themed you encounter in the wild will always be purebred.
You can see this in a tamed pet by scrolling down to its genetics. In that box, it will say what specific species and category of Themed the sylesti is. If the star next to this is gold, the pet is purebred. If it is light blue, it is a tagged Themed.

No. Purebreds are blue stars, and they are obtained by breeding two parents of the same theme.
Yellow stars are first generation. They are worth generally more than purebred and are usually either found in the wild or created (sculpting, brewing, etc.)

Yellow stars and more sought for as there are way less in the world of Sylestia than Purebreds. To be fair, that doesn't mean that Purebreds can sell for lots of money! One of mine sold for 500k. It all depends on the theme and type (type being Purebred and Original).
