It won't let me release this pet, I know for a fact that I typed his name in correctly, because I tried like 20 times! It is driving me crazy!

You might have to add a space at the end.

Try copy/pasting his name, instead of typing it? If you already tried doing that, what kind of error are you getting when you try to release him?
