Given that you posted this at 9:10... by chance were you taken to a battle page when you tried to visit a town? If so, there was probably a raid going on. They start at every multiple of 3 hours. The town being raided isn't accessible until the raid ends.

Aww thanks that makes sense thank you. I was worriedI done something wrong. I never took part in a raid or know anything about them
