A child for each month of the year was chosen to bear a single curse by the goddess Astories. There are twelve villages, and each child was born into one. The cursed children were either treated as outcasts or royalty, depending on the village they were born into. Six girls, six boys, and they were destined to rule over this kingdom on the edge of ruin. There are twelve scared treasures hidden throughout the vast, dangerous terrains that thrive in the kingdom, and to unlock the castle that has been locked by evil magical barriers, they need them all. They also need them to ultimately defeat the tyrant holding the castle captive, Sarieas. Sarieas has ruled over the kingdom for over 100 years, due to him draining power from the castle to keep himself from aging. If the twelve cannot get to him in time to defeat him, the kingdom will drain of it's power and be lost forever to monsters and evil beings.

Harriette yawned, and got up. She made a quick breakfast of the bread that had been left out.
"How do you like your breakfast? You seem a little nervous. What's...oh, right your meeting the rest." Her dad looked up from his book he was reading.
"Oh, Dad, I hated breakfast. Too doughy." Harriette winked, and finished her piece. She skipped to grab a backpack that she could fill with books(ah, maybe, her dad might be angry with her if she lost one), her wolf emblazoned dagger, some extra food, and that was about it at the moment.
"Well, let's just hope you have a good time." Dad wrapped her in a bear hug. Harriette squeezed back.
"Planing on it." She hadn't replied to a question, so she could speak the truth. Ah, the funny loop holes of it all. "Oh, Dad, I got to go, look at the time. It'll take a while to get there. Hope you don't miss me too bad." Dad ruffled her hair, and then stepped back.
"I'm going to miss you as much as we both miss your real mother. Safe travels." Dad loosened his hold on her, and then reached for a sorta necklace. "For good luck, it was your mothers." He held up the crystal in the light, and then tied it around Harriette's neck so the crystal hung right below her collar bone.
"Oh Dad, it's perfect. I know how much you care about it." Harriette kisses her father, and then steps out side, waving farewell. She could tell her father was holding back tears. They might not see each other again. Well, with a damper to those thoughts, Harriette set off on the road, whistling a tune.

"Okay. I'm off." James cringed as his older brother laughed.
"Off like a dirty shirt." His brother muttered, and then shooed James out the door. "Now get!" James sighed, and trotted down the front steps. Yep. That was basically life. People always telling him what to do, even though he could make his own decisions.
James walked down the main road to get to February's village. That would be fun. After all, he was the second closest village. But that also meant more time to have his curse found out. Yikes, if only he didn't have to go...But there were orders that needed to be followed. Oh, if only James could get his hands around his brothers neck...but that was another thing he couldn't do. Oh well.
James walked down the road, not really taking the world around him in. So, if he runs into something, well, that'll just be his fault.
(Interactions open. Anyone can crash into him and what not. :p)

Nickolas (Nick) Exilis
The first thing he did after reaching the pub where he was suposed to meet with the other months was to go buy some coffe while waiting for the others to arrive. He was just finishing his third cup, not because he was there for a long time of course, only because he would probably nead to get as mutch caffein in his body as possible before he leave. Ignoring the disgusted look of the others customers he order the fourth cup he had in the last ten minutes.
Acel Rossolis
Being outside in itself was new for him so being sent to brave the forest on it's own was a frightening experience for him, even if the village he had to go too wasn't too far from his home. During the whole trip he was shaking like a wet puppy and jumping at evry noises and once he finaly got to the town his first reflex was to sit down against a wall in a tight ball, waiting for the fear to go away.

Cole walked to the pub, thinking. Whos the person? What will they ask? How will I respond? He thought, before smirking darkly. With the truth, of course.
Luna followed nearby, holding a pad of paper and a pen. It was the only way she could communicate, because she couldnt hear herself speak, and neither she nor Cole knew sign language.

James walked into the pub. He looked around once, and then decided to stay standing near the door. "Hello," He said to everyone, trying to create something to break the almost palpable silence. "I'm James..." He trailed off, and sighed.

Artemis Vandele
Artemis, being the month of February, was already at the pub. He was sitting near a window, holding a seemingly worn and old book in his hands. His eyes had bags under them, but that was just due to the curse. He'd had them since he was born, literally. Since he never slept, he spent his nights studying the curses and the prophecy. The head of his village asked him to greet everyone (he also added because he was a no-good wretched being that did nothing for this village), and lead everyone to the forest to start traveling to the forest. They had to find their scared weapons that were scattered everywhere, or so he read. These texts dated back centuries, and only now was the prophecy taking place.
Iris Faron
Iris was still traveling to the village where February resided. She, as always, walked silently. No words could come for her mouth, not even a tune to help pass time. She had to wait for someone to say her name, and now that would be hard, given no one knew her name in this village yet. She kept walking on the trail with an almost happy look though. She heard once they do all this, their curses will be undone. She could speak to people, and say what SHE wanted to say!

Harriette bounded up to Iris. "Why hello, fair knight...Oh, lady then. Um..I'm Harriette. Who are you?" She tried to be cheerful. But with the weight of maybe never seeing her dad again was hard.

Iris jumped slightly, and turned to Harriette. She silently cursed her curse and gave a cheerful smile to greet her. She hated being labeled as rude, since most times she couldn't reply.
Iris sighed and turned toward her, pointing to her eye, and mouthing the word "Iris". It sure was a pain to have to do this to everyone she met.
