Not totally sure what this means, but on some pets profiles, there is some green text saying that;
this pet can re-generate up to x amount of trait points and colors (Random color hex codes)

Can anyone explain what this means, exactly??

those aren't Hex colours (six symbol codes denoting colours), it's a list of the colour slots that can be regenned (in that ny'vene's case, all colours except the two accent colour slots)
