I'm getting so frustrated with my nails, can never keep them long because sooner or later they split and either the edges break off on their own or I have to pull them off, sometimes having to twist the broken edges if the break goes almost all the way across my nail before I can pull it off because pulling it directly off, er, attempting to pull it directly off is painful(like the case was with my left thumbnail this morning at school), does anybody have ANY tips on how to keep my nails long while preventing them from breaking? Oh, and my thumbnails are growing in a funky way, the edges only grow to a certain point before they stop growing, and furthermore, my fingernails are getting mysteriously and frustratingly thick but brittle, making it hard to trim them and it's not at all helped by the fact that I have to use one of the 5 files in my relatively small nail care kit to sharpen the blades of my clippers just to get the darn things to cut through my nails

My nails are pretty long not that long to me but my parents are scared of them

Also the boys in my class are scared of them
They piss me off for no reason
So they get a swift swipe of my nails or a bonk on the head

Wver swen the china man who has outragously long finhernails? Over 20ft lobg yet not broken. Na care i fues.
I personally am required to kep my nails short due tp beong a musician and nails clack on piano keys and mess up viola finherings. Pkus make metal noises that are annoying.

Well, I have a few tips that have always worked for me. It really depends on how long you want your nails, I have mine about two to three times the original length and I rarely have problems with them breaking. If you cut them roughly into points early on they will grow out flatter and won't break as easily because there's less for them to catch on. Really just keep anything that they can catch on to a minimum and be somewhat careful.

At least you guys don't play guitar! I can't have my nails long anymore, ever again. If my nails are even slightly long, and i want to practice? Nope. Muffled strings. Instant cut required.

My violateacher makws u s pay her something like 50 cents pet uncut nail. Good lick to you if you forgot....
And my piano tracher doesnt apporve of ling nails either.

I don't even do anything with my nails yet I can grow them out really long
