Welcome! We've had a nice start to this competition and now its time to vote on our favorite designs. Each contestant was given a tarot card to base their design off of. You will all judge the designs based on how nice you think they look and how well you think they fit their respective cards. This is a public voting, so even if you aren't participating by turning in designs, you can still vote! Because some people dropped out or didn't enter their design we will only be voting out 1 person this time. The person with the lowest number of votes will be voted out.
Voting Rules 1. Everyone has two votes. 2. Contestants may not say which design is theirs. 3. Contestants may vote but can not vote for themselves. (I will know) 4. You can discuss designs, but don't be mean about. 5. All usual forum rules apply 6. Have fun!
The next post will have the designs. Voting will last until 9:00 P.M. forum time 3/03.

Design 1 The Emperor
In the Emperor tarot card, a stoic ruler figure can be seen on his throne, which is adorned with the heads of four rams, representing his astrological sign - Aries. In one hand, he carries a scepter, representing his reign and his right to rule, and in the other an orb, a symbol of the kingdom that he watches over. The long beard of the emperor represents his vast experience; over time he has learned much about what it takes to rule, to establish power, authority and complete order for the benefit of his people.
Behind him, the barren mountains shows his determination, his ambition for greater heights and his leadership capability. Contrast this with his complement, the Empress, whose flowing fields are filled with nurturing kindness. The Emperor instead rules with grit, strength and force.

Design 3 Death
Design 4 The Fool
Design 5 Temperance
Design 6 The Star
Design 7 The Chariot
Design 8 The World
I used pictures of Earth from space as inspiration for this design. The Blue is supposed to represent the Oceans and Seas; White for Snow and Polar caps; Grey "Magic Spell" for clouds; Tan for Sand, Prairie, and Desert, Green for the Forests and Jungle; and the Orange rings represent the Lava and Magma from which all Land came from
Design 9 Justice
Design 10 The Devil
After some inspiring research, I found out that the Greek god of wine and parties Dionysus is depicted on the card. So I decided to spice up the traditional black-and-fiery look with some wine purples
Design 11 The Hierophant
Design 12 The High Priestess
Design 13 The Empress
Design 14 Judgement
I made a Zolnixi who represents the Egyptian version of the day of judgment. He's a combination of Anubis, the god of Death and Ma'at, the goddess of justice and the law.
Design 15 The Moon
I chose Ryori because they depict the ephemeral very well and the Moon Tarot is about intuition, dreams and the state of the unconscious mind. I specifically chose to use gold icicle orbs to reference the strong influence of art nouveau, which uses lots of gold and radial designs, that tarot cards often have due to their rise in popularity around the same time that the Art Nouveau movement was in full swing.
Design 16 The Tower
In The Tower tarot card a tower is shown on fire after being struck by lighting. In my design the Ny'vene represents the tower, the Ny'vene is like the tower on fire, and surrounded by lighting. The Tower represents chaos, upheaval, and awakening. My design represents chaos.
