It doesn't work using the same code as the forums, as far as I can tell. Anyone know how to do it?

It's the same.
Paste your image address in between
[ img] image address [ /img]
With no spaces.

For an image link on a profile, the code is [imglink=linkURL]image URL[/imglink]

So you know, the profile uses the same codes as the PM system. Why are they different from the forums? No idea. But they are. (things like text colour etc)
