I was cleaning out my Equipment, and I noticed the items don't stack. This would be an incredibly helpful feature, both space wise (I have 5 equipment tabs and 2 inventory) and organization wise. Either that or a filter to find certain items.

No support, I prefer the equipment inventory as it is now.

I literally sell every last piece of equipment that I absolutely do not need, almost as soon as I get them. I keep vinethorns and exotics for the blacksmith. Any other non-Mythical equip, whatever I get from missions or battles, go straight into the green sell area.

I think if they stacked, that might cause a lot of unnecessary stack-splitting whenever someone actually need to equip something on a pet. Which can be a pretty big issue for those who play on mobile, or newer players who probably have no clue how to split stacks.

Would you have to split stacks to use them? It seems like it might be possible to just click the equipment in from a stack, no splitting required. But then, I don't know how coding works *shrug*

I have no strong feelings on this either way. I wouldn't be dramatically opposed if it happened, but I'm fine with how things are now.

I get that idea, but I think that the stacks would be helpful for some of the reasons you said:

1) Selling equipment: if you can see that you have more than one of an item right away, it will be easier to get rid of.
2) Stack splitting: if it is possible, it could be made that you can select a stack, but only one will equip. Otherwise I agree with that point
3) Newbies: It tells you how to split stacks in the intro and right above the inventory so that wouldn't really be a huge issue

You'd be surprised how many people never notice the explanation for how to split stacks. :P

And even if you know how, it's still impossible to split stacks on mobile.

I have to agree with that. But if they did stack and only one was sold/equipped at a time, it still may work.

You'd also have to consider the fact that some pieces of equipment of the same type (evoker/assassin/etc.) and quality can have slightly different stats (for example, equipment from mission satchels tends to have higher health than equipment of the same type and quality gained while exploring). Additionally, almost all pieces of equipment have slightly different boosts (orange text on the right).

Overall, I think equipment stacking wouldn't be very effective or beneficial. Instead, it might confuse players if most seemingly identical pieces of equipment didn't stack.

True - honestly I have no idea, either. If splitting is not required, I wouldn't mind having this changed; that was just my main concern.

Ah, well, I don't think this would make a huge difference if they did stack. Because there would still be a bunch of stacks to get rid of. For example, a Level 10 uncommon Illusionist bracer won't stack with a Level 15 one, or a Rare-quality one, or one of a different type. Dunno if it would be worth Krin's effort for a somewhat minor change.
