How do I change my avatar's clothes?

Go to Acount > Wardrobe, and then you can change clothes. You have to use AP, or buy clothes off the Trade Broker, or get free clothes from clothes banks in the groups forum, or find them through the storyline, or from events.
If u don't want to wear the storyline clothes and u don't have any other clothes, I suggest going to the groups and gulds forum, there's a few clothing threads. (if u want some I can also give u a few if u want)
