I know this is something simple that I've overlooked but how do you buy more space in the Hatchery? Do you have to wait till one fills up before you can buy another?

Nope. Hatchery space is unlimited and free.
That being said, it's best not to breed more than your stables can handle.

Thanks, that's good to know. Appreciate your time. So I'm assuming a new tab will just appear when the first one is full? I'm trying to restrict breeding but its SO much fun! lol. So many combos!

Yupped if you want to see excess go to elleshie's hatchery, it's like walking through a digital pet candy store. I have issues not breeding in excess as well to be honest
