How do the kidmts work and how many uses per?

Depends on the kit you have. The kit you get from the capture a sylesti quest has only one use, and you use it on a pet's profile page to reveal carried and hidden traits. The exceptional kit from the diamond shop has unlimited uses and does the same thing. Both are used on the pet's profile page.

URLs don't show all the pet genetics if they haven't been Tested/Scanned, they only show Visible traits.
A pet needs to be tested for their URL/Genes section to tell you if the pet has Carried or Hidden traits.
There are many people who offer free genetesting in the forums.

As Schateroie said there is a lot of people and some are pretty quick. :) Just don't forget they also have they own life. :)
