I made an account years ago but have just revived it so am really a newbie. Figuring things out pretty well but made some kind of error and lost an outfit I just purchased. I was trying to get on my avatar from the Inventory. I highlighted it and clicked the Use Item button. It disappeared and I can't find it. I'd really like to get it back or t find out how to put clothing on my avatar so I don't lose another item. Thanks for any help.

And while I'm here....how do I get food to feed my pet and the egg I collected from my initial quests? I looked at all the places I can buy things and couldn't find any food. Help also appreciated with this problem.

So conserning clothes: when used in the inventory it moves to the wardrobe where the item is unclocked and you can wear it.
( Wardrobe is found under the Account tab)

Conserning food: whenever you feed a pet (either from its profile page or from the top of your stable) your gold is spent and converted into food which is automatically fed to the pet.

I know I'm missing something very simple but cannot figure out how to equip an outfit I purchased. I "Used" it from inventory but do not know where it is in my Wardrobe. Nor can figure out how to use the Outfits and other items they offer me in the choices. I can alter my basic avatar with colors and limited clothing choice but can't find what I purchased. Help, please.

Any avatar item you use from your inventory ends up in the Items tab of your wardrobe. Your outfit will be under the Outfits sub-tab. You might have to click through a lot of pages to find it, so just keep an eye out for a white background among the grays. Then, equip it by clicking on it.

And that worked! As I hope you can see, I was able to change my outfit. Much happier now altho I have a long way to go. But I see how the process works now. I appreciate the time you took to answer.

What ARE all those other things in my wardrobe that I don't have access to? Just there to motivate me? lol. How do I find out how to get the ones I want?

If you're talking about the locked stuff in the other three tabs, you can purchase them with diamonds (premium currency) or AP (Advancement Points -- earned by doing things like battling and nurturing).
