Maybe this is too far out there, I know you guys are very busy with reworking the website, but I think it would be really cool to have the animal/companion seperate from the helds. That way, you could have a cute little companion by your side resting on your staff (or whatever else you wanted to hold) Leave a yes in the comments if you agree this should be a thing. (If you want to get my attention, just ping me)

I don't think resting on a held would work since they are all very different. However I would not mind the ability to use a pet from your stable as a background. Basically scaled to their size and having a fixed position and between the avatar layer and the background layer. Of course for some you'd have to be careful as a player not to wear big wings or cloaks but a little head peaking from behind either would also be as cute as it standing/flying there with no wing or cloak.
I hope this sort of thing could be done with the existing art when the new site rolls around, I understand the avatar system is pretty old and may not manage it in its current state.

YES SUPPORT!
Stop holding silly flowers or a leash or whatever, just put the critter in its own slot and let us hold a sword.

I totally support this, then I can show off my pets, look awesome, and not have to hold something weird to have an animal with your avatar.
