I'm pretty sure what Draum means is that this suggestion has been made many times over the years and the creator of the game (Krinadon) has responded a few times in the past to say that this will never happen because it would be too much work for the artists and he would rather put that effort into making brand new species rather than crossbreeds (which would have to be treated like a new species anyway, but even more difficult because of the two pets being bred likely sharing very, very few traits, probably not sharing the same kinds of traits in the same slots, and trying to decide what would actually be inherited in this case). In other words, too much of a headache for what it would be worth, when we could just have new species instead.
