How do you get essences?
- from nurituring, jinxi jamboree or mission satchel (rarely)
- from the trade broaker or item auction ( you nead to buy them or trade them for somthing else)
- diamond shop
How do you breed with another persons pet?
if the pet is adult and set for breeding there will be a on it. You nead an adult pet from the same speacie and opposit gender in your stable to be able to breed with that pet. You then go on the pet you want to breed with profile, select vew price, select the pet from your stable you want it to breed with and click breed. Make sure you can afford that breeding before as some pets, generaly old themmed, restricted traits themmed that were mutated or good looking females can cost more then 1 gold.

I just wanted to add that essences can also be dropped from fights.
It's pretty rare, and I don't know if it's possible before the lv55+ area. But it definitely can happen.

if i remember corectly, (and i may be wrong for this one) the wild drop of essence was only implemented in the areas where you can roam freely so after umbra forest and during festivals, i don't know if the level of the foes have an impact or not for the drop in the last one.
