I've been on and off all day but I've been unable to find any seeds in the Festival Explore Zone.

Can any players who have found some tell me how/where you got them? I think I might be missing something as I'm very new to Sylestia. Is there maybe something limiting me because I'm new like being lower levelled? I know some sites implement stuff like that that can prevent newer players from participating and I wasn't sure if that may be the case here?

In case I do end up finding them, how do I care for them? I have a fair amount of supplies (aside from fertilizers) but I'm not sure when I should use them. I also saw that you can help out others and was wondering how that worked - like do you have to rely on others to help maintain the plants (similar to nurturing where you can only nurture your own pets once a day) or is it simply there so you can help out others who don't have enough supplies?

Thanks to anyone who helps me out~

(Also sorry if there's a specific festival board that I missed, I looked but I'm not too great at navigating through forums)

They're pretty rare drops in the Festival zone. There's no trick to finding them, really. Just fight as many enemies and named as you can and pick up all eggs/chests. Players can also buy them from the Festival Shop and Diamond Shop for diamonds. Diamonds are a currency that is purchased with real life currency through the Diamond Shop. You can buy them from other players but they can be expensive. You can also purchase seeds from other players via the forums or talking in region chat/gen chat.

You don't have to rely on others. You can tend your own plants. It's just a social thing. You can help others out as well as earn eggs and prizes from the task list.

also, as to what each seed makes
> there's a list of the new ones added this year (along with the new zone themes) on Britters' profile (though we currently don't know exactly what any of those flower pets look like.
> and there's this forum thread that has all the ones that have returned from last year.

As for the growing process
When you have a seed you want to use, you can fill a pot with dirt and plant the seed.

To care for it- speeding its growth, much like nurturing Egglings- you can tend it whenever it ticks over and needs it again, or other people can tend it, using items obtained from the Baskets of Enrichment you can either buy or obtain from the Zone.
Overgrown = Weed-b-gone
Parched = Enriched Water
Wilted = Bottled Sun

For traits, you use fertiliser; fertiliser comes in three types
> Lesser Fert, which grants 1 visible trait (or two carries if it's a Majestic seed)
> Greater Fert, which makes a 2 vis (/1 vis if Majestic)
> Exceptional Fert, which makes a 3 vis (/2 vis if Majestic)

Once a fertiliser has been used on a plant, you can use a higher levelled one on it, which will override the lower levelled one, but not the other way around.
You can upgrade ferts, 10 lesser + 50k gold to make a greater, or 10 greater + 250k gold to make an exceptional.

When you have the right amounts you can use:

Genetic Bonding, which allows you to choose the trait slot(s) you want (not specific traits, though)
Genetic Splicer, which assures that there'll be a Hidden trait(s) under the vis trait(s) of your choice.

Tree Sap can be used to choose pet Gender.

Root Strengthener can be used to boost the Base Stats of the pet, and can be done a few times.

Miracle Grow can instantly grow a plant, but only once at least one of that plant has already been grown and harvested by someone on the site.
