Based on a weird story I dug up in my ancient notebooks... Like, third grade old. Just made nicer. And darker. And readable. And a roleplay.... o,o


You are a kid. After World War Three, most of our earth has been contaminated with radioactive waste. Countries put together a false island and set up facilities to be self-sustaining. Plus 1000 resident rooms. The catch they post out is that you have to work in one of the facilities to pay off the debt of staying. But another catch, that they don't mention, is that they have a way to ensure that you stay for a very long time. After many, many failed attempts, they created a 'miracle pill.' It tampers with the prefrontal cortex in just the right way to keep things like emotions down, while boosting intelligence, memory, and other things in the brain. See, the residents are divided into ten floors of 100, each of which divided into four quadrants of 25. 50 are girls, 50 are boys. There are 15 floors in total you know of, maybe more, but the ten floors are divided into skill level. When you arrive, they give you a test. If you are the bottom half of accepted grades you become a laborer or 'Physical Worker'. If in the top half you become a 'Mental Worker'. If not accepted, you're knocked out and become a lab rat... or dead.
They call the bottom floor Floor 1. and the top floor Floor 15. Floor 4 is the cafeteria. 3 is for children. 2 is a lab. And 1..... Nobody knows. Well, you took your first pill today with the rest of your class. You and others felt no effects. You realized how weird everyone else seemed. Now you who are resistant must be kept on watch with the other prisoners. Half of Floor 1 has them. Workrooms. Now you're in Workroom 7. Half lab rat, half work horse, and completely dead..... Or are you yet?
