I know I am not a newbie anymore but I am stuck on the Undead Mage, he keeps using soul steal, is there any element/move that soul steal is weak too?.

Is Soul steal from the shadow element?, I keep using light but that isn't effective enough,

Our elements dont have weaknesses against each other as you might find in things like Pokmon. Instead, the element that a pet is set to determines their role in your party. He most common setup that you'll find is a tank (takes the damage for all the pets - has a high health) + 2 glass cannons (does the damage for the team - have very high attack power but little else). If I weren't doing this on my phone I'd type something detailed out for you but instead, here's a handy guide that another player put together. Good luck!
