So, i've recently learned that my local community college has several students that are either homeless/in danger of becoming homeless, or are in a situation where they cannot get food for themselves and/or their children.

After many years, the community college will finally be opening up a food pantry where students of the college can go and get the food (and on occasion pre-cooked/prepared food) they need in order to succeed in college and in life.

While this is great and wonderful, I know for a fact that many students aren't armed with the knowledge to gain as much as they can from this new service the college is now going to provide.

Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

My goal is to create a list of easy, cost efficient, and healthy recipes that students going to the new college food pantry can have, that way they can make the most out of the food that they're getting and hopefully reduce the amount of packaged, processed, and frozen meals they would typically have.

So what can you do to help? Post some yummy affordable and easy recipes here that you make of have tried!
Link resources or healthy food options of your own, get creative :3

I'd appreciate any help at this point haha

For those of you who have read this, thank you very much :)

As things like rice and pasta are not expensive and very basic food, easy to cook, maybe you could make a list of many different sauces or way to cook them using simple/non expensive ingredients?
(if you cook them with vegetables, it would be healthy).
Maybe also a list of different things you can do with eggs, as it's often less expensive than meat (at least here) and countains a lot of proteins?

Do you have a list of ingredients you have, so I could give you some more detailed recipes Ideas?
