Have rebooted comp, switched to a computer from laptop...and its lagging bad...

lost a packet while pinging, kept three.

Not sure what this means or where I seem to be timing out at, or if it maybe not my issue?

I am not aware of any issues in regards to our server or local network.

It's very possible this is just an issue either with your ISP or the 'tubes' your ISP has your connection use on its way to reaching our server. These things just happen from time to time with seemingly random occurrences.

The best place to probably start would be to contact your ISP and ask them about it.

Lag is setting in right before events start-during the whole event, and slightly after...I have been fine all day no problems.. Idk, its just odd. And I havent been the only one having issues on the West Coast...someone from Seattle, and another from Cali was having it bad too around the same time yesterday.

Images dont fully load either

According to ISP, theres an issue with a 'gateway'...but gateway dept is closed. No idea what that means, but hubby was able to get #6 hop to show..and looks like we maybe having problems with some connection down in Phoenix :(.

So basically, the internet is kinda like our highway system.

So imagine you're in ... Los Angelos and want to travel to San Francisco. You end up going from tiny roads, to main roads, to highways, to interstates, then back to main roads, tiny roads, and final destination.

Each one of those "roads" is owned, controlled, and operated by different entities. Some roads are kept in perfect condition, some are falling apart. Some have construction, etc.

We all share the roads, but not any "one" entity controls an entire road.

So for every single connection you make, of which you can make hundreds/thousands per second when actively playing, it has to travel along a dozen+ roads back and forth.

Sooo - any issue along any of those roads can cause all sorts of issues. The roads you take from your home to the destination is different to virtually all situations unless you're sharing a start location and going to the same website.

While not 100% conclusive, it does sound very probable that a "road" is having issues from those of you in a certain area connecting to our server.

As your ISP alluded, it's nothing we can do and probably nothing they can do. However, usually, ISPs will work with whoever is in charge of that "road" to get it fixed or they can reroute how your connection travels so that it uses different "roads".

I hope that helped. =P

Yep that greatly helped.

You know a 'road' is bad when you can compare it to dial-up...it was that rough....and it happening near 6pm pst yesterday and today, thought it odd. Other sites were fine, just that one road during event. Hubby did tell them if anymore problems happen, he'd call again tomorrow and see if we can get a 're-route'.

Much thanks!
