I frowned, fluttering my golden wings. There were always new heros. Seen one, seen them all. Guys who think they're tough and died heroically. Or that's what everyone said. More like stupidly. I blinked, a small golden teardrop forming under my eye, which I dropped in a drawstring leather pouch around my waist. Why did mortals have to be so foolish? Why did they have to die?
