Hey its been 17 days and my starter pet is still an adolescent, when will it become an adult?

Pets become adult at age 27 days :)

Actually, Starters are an exception to the general rule - they already have some age on them when they are created (216 hours, if I'm not mistaken). This would mean that your pet would mature after 18 days.
You can also check using a pets image Your Starter pet:

Pets become adults at 648 and gain approximately 1 point for ever hour so you only have 9 hours to go :)

K, didn't know starters matured faster then other pets.
