It'd be nice to have user shops in addition to trades, so we can put things we don't want or need up at a specific price and let it sell itself. It will need a search engine but I think most of us would use it more than the trades if we had one.

I think I'd need a few more details, myself, to see how this would be different from our current Trade Broker. Currently we can click on an item in the inventory, hit 'broker item', see what current prices are for that item and how well it has sold in the last while, then set a price for it and put it on the broker. Then someone can go to the broker, search for the exact item they are looking for, and purchase it. Then you can go in and pick up the money from the broker till (I actually find this function far more shop-like than trade-like as there are no trades going on, just purchases).

Most games with user shops that I have been on have you click the items in your inventory, choose 'move to shop' then you have to go to your shop and individually mark your prices on your items, with little immediate idea of the current market value (unless you want to run a search on each individual item), then wait for someone to come to your shop and purchase your items, then once someone purchases you take the money from your shop till.

So, in my experience of user shops, they are identical to the broker, and possibly more annoying to keep up (with the pricing after moving and not knowing the market when putting a price on them). This is why I need more details on your vision of the user shops to see how they would be better than the broker ^.^

I have to agree. The more detail we have for this suggestion, the more we will understand on how different a shop can be from trades. ^w^

Yeah, most user shops work very similar but the items don't time out or get shoved back into your inventory.

While I sometimes find it annoying to have the items come back to my inventory, it also reminds me that those items haven't sold and gives me a chance to re-evaluate the price I have them up for. I'm not sure what would be better. Maybe more choice in how long to have an item up on the broker? Maybe have options like a day, a week, 3 weeks, 6 months. Something like that so you can choose whether you want a long or a short return of the items if they don't sell?

Otherwise, I'd still be interested to hear other things that would make user shops desireable on top of the broker ^.^
