While it would be nice to have easier ways to organize in the stables, what about perhaps a separate feature that is designed solely for organizing breeding projects? Basically something like the following:
Step 1. Click to start a new project group.
Step 2. Add some starting pets to the project group.
Step 3. Have the system work so that every time a pet in a project group breeds, its egg gets added to the project group. (Of course ignoring breedings that other users can pay a breeding price to create) Basically just an if condition.
Step 4. Have the user be able to create subgroups, and drag pets to each subgroup to organize. With hovering over a pet showing what traits a pet has. Either that or an auto organizer based on traits.
Step 5. Be able to breed directly from the group rather than the breeding grounds? Or have the breeding grounds be integrated with such a system.
At least I find breeding projects quite common on Sylestia. Yet the process and organization involved is quite cumbersome currently. People tend to use the pet's name to list what traits the pet has, but that's not really what a pet's name is for, right?

I'm starting to do breeding projects and find this idea interesting, but how does it work with your stable size and do the pets in project groups still show up in your regular stable? Also, using names is partially done so you know what pets to breed in the breeding grounds, so would your suggestion help with that somehow? And this part might just be me, but I probably wouldn't name my project pets at all unless it was useful because they all look the same and I'm not good enough at naming to come up with 20+ names for the same looking pets.
I do think it would be nice to have a project organiser though, and I'd want it to somehow be able check if two sylesti were closely related for you too. :)

yes please!
I have to use someone's pet set for breeding, in order to see which of my project pets are not recovering. ;w; because while breeding with others' pets, you see your pets in the order they were put in stables, including stables' and tabs' names. perfect! I can check each project individually.
while in breeding grounds it's like:

@Wavypavy,
It would work independently from the stables. Or at least that's how I envisioned it.
Idk, for me a name should be like "Bob" "Joe", etc. rather than cxxvvx. For coming up with names, a quite different suggestion, but perhaps a name generator like Chicken Smoothie has?
@Lokiarti,
Meanwhile I see,
Rip my projects. And I'm sure the one pet that has a name on that list is just one that I bought that already had a name too. xD

I would love something, anything. And this sounds good. How I live now is very unpleasant.
I use 3 screens and have a search up for my adult males (in this case, qitari) adult females, and then the breeding page. All are un-named since the breeding page goes by their number, that part is easier to scroll through. I am only working really on this one project but like with my multiple projects, it works okay. But do you see how many pages of each gender I have? at least 75% is my ONE project because I'm breeding for multiple traits. To click through pages is just... such.. a burden. I tend to put off or not do it because of how tedious and time consuming it is. Which means I play less. Which means I spend less money on the site.
It's so long and not user friendly.. It's better if I use 2 computer screens then I am able to navigate a bit easier. So yes, I would love to see ANYTHING that would streamline this a little better. It's just not conducive to long projects. Or doing more than one project at a time.
I also really don't want to get to the point of naming my pets: '''aC' and AbF''c
But I've been tempted...
Edit: I sounded kind of mean >.< I love Sylestia, please don't think I don't.

Perhaps a seperate stable feature for projects so that you can still have the projects seprate form your regular pets and still have to buy extra "project stables and tabs" as you need room just like the regular stables and perhaps a feature in the breeding grounds that tell you which stabls and tab you pet are in like when your breed pets with another player

Breeding is sadly very crude. It is slated for a major overhaul for relaunch.
That said, incorporating a breeding project interface and tools is intriguing. We will definitley keep it in mind.

I would love this. One of the big reasons I don't do breeding much anymore is that it is honestly so hard and messy to keep track of anything. I will start a breeding idea, but then when I try to come back to it, I often don't recall which offspring were for it and have to dig through my stables staring at them to figure it out.
