What does it mean when a Pet Can Re-Generate 6 Trait Points and All Colors?

It means it was a pet that was affected by a revamp and ended up being regenerable (due to traits being moved around). If you own the pet, there will be a re-generate button that will take you to a page that looks like the generator. Here you will have 6 trait points to spend choosing traits (visible=2 points and carried=1) and also be able to choose all of the colors. The traits available will only be those that were present before the revamp.
This girl was regenerated:

She had 8 trait points so I gave her 4 visible traits. If you look at her lineage, you can see that her colors and traits are totally different from her parents.
