Since I've been dealing in Maxed Stats pets quite a lot lately, I keep coming across this one constant issue, SO MANY TIMES, that I find myself typing this same phrase INSTINCTIVELY every time I post about someone wanting me to breed them a specific stats pet.

"Since Sylestia doesn't allow for use of philters on hatchlings - infertility included - it will still take another week after it hatches before I can set it up for you."

"It'll take a while before I can make her infertile, but I'll let you know as soon as she hits the adolescence mark! :)"

"Currently I've even got a few in hatchery that are just waiting to turn adolescent so I can make them infertile. (If only we could use philters on hatchlings..!! It'd shave off almost a week of waiting. x___x)"


These are just a few examples of what is by now, likely DOZENS of times that I have had to tell someone this... It's a pain in the butt for getting sales out efficiently. People can forget and spend all of their gold. I can forget to make a note on my profile page and either someone has to bring it up to me again later like "where's my pet?" or I'll randomly stumble across a long-lost message or post, or the pet itself and remember "oh yeah! THAT'S the pet ___ asked for! Shoot, let me pm them and see if they're still interested!"



I honestly see no reason why philters can't be applied to hatchlings, and the week-long wait as well as the risk of forgetting entirely is just... ugh.

Hatch the wrong gender? Why not just let us use the philter of gender swapping to fix the mistake when it hatches, while it's fresh on our minds and we're 100% aware of the pet's existence and the issue.

Hatch a pet with a wrong color needed for a project? Once again, wouldn't it better to let us fix it then and there, rather than potentially forgetting until it shows up in the breeding generator as an ADULT and have to fix it? Or if it's on a carried trait or one with an empty spot for that breeder that the project needs the slot color, it wouldn't be noticed AT ALL and result in breeding a ton of wrong offspring, needing more dyes, because someone wasn't able to fix the issue when it was a fresh hatchling and later forgot.

And of course... philter of infertility, so I can actually sell my stats pets when they hatch, rather then telling people that they have to wait a whole other week. (Which is made even WORSE of a wait when it's a trait combination that may or may not come as a result of the parents, which means that same person stuck waiting a week may have already been waiting MONTHS for me to get the right hatchling >__>)



So... please?

100% support all of this. For at least 90% of the stated reasons, if not all of them >.<

Better question: why not? Why not be able to have all these cool things for our hatchlings.
