Forum signatures.
These exist in the other games, and there you can post stuff about you or showing off your pets and such.

I'd have to say that I would not like to have forum signatures here. When used sparingly they're fine, but I've found that they're often used in excess to have (often large) pictures and flashing text and stuff that just make the forum seem cluttered to me (and even confusing sometimes). I have to say, I was fairly relieved when I arrived on Sylestia to find that signatures were not a thing >> (Not to attack the idea, just putting my opinion on it out there XP)

xp it's okay.
In Flight Rising, the signatures have a maximum limit, so they can't make the forum longer.

I'd suggest having a "Enable forum signatures" option for when someone is creating a thread. This way the author of the thread can decide if a player may or may not be able to show off their fancy signature.

@Goomy,
Been suggested before: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=30064
My personal stance on it would still be the same: I find signatures to be as distracting as ads. So would be no support from me, except in the case of text-only signatures with a character count cap (around the length of a tweet) Like 1 line in the forums, where one could put links to things or a quote one likes.

120 character limit would be my max on that. No images. Just text, and a option to have them off.
For an actually signature, all you would need to do is but something in your post, which isn't hard. And I feel like they would get misused far too often.

No support from me either. I think signatures disrupt board flow and change the "feel" of the forums away from a well-meshed community to people essentially just using the boards to advertise every time they post. I'm glad Sylestia is different.

I can't say I like the idea of people putting whatever they want at the bottom of their posts, but I like the idea of being able to show of your favourite pet, so I would like it if you could set one of your pets to show on your posts in a special slot that wouldn't take up mush room.
