Once a pet reaches adulthood I think it would be fun if we could "pet" them. Here is my idea. "Petting" would be kind of like the nurturing option. Petting would be a sylestia term for "liking." If you really like someone's pet you could pet it, and that user could always go back and look at how many pets the sylesti had gotten over the course of its life. Just a fun little thought :)

Tipping! This is the fun part. A kind of income aside from missions from pets. On many games you have enclosures with creatures in them, zoo games for example. And your visitors leave money in their stalls that you can collect every now and then. I think it would be especially fun to if we find a pretty pet, have the option to leave a little amount of gold for the user to collect once they are ready. Either there would be a default amount of how much you can leave, like 500g, or you could choose on your own. Either way, just a thought~

I might support this... it makes me sad that we can't interact with adult pets like we could do it with eggs/hatchlings. however, isn't the pet profile views counter already doing the "petting" thing? I think there should be some effect besides the counting of those "likes".

and the tipping part...it may end up becoming the replacement for CoD'ing items if we need to pay for something because it's easier to "tip" than to wait for the person to CoD you. so this idea might not fulfill its purposes in the end.

I really like these ideas, but maybe there could be some other use for petting sylesti, like they do slightly better in battle if they are petted often.

I'd be a bit careful with this, as adding a benefit like doing better in battle it could turn the 'petting action' into a daily click chore, which are usually just bothersome and tiresome.

In the future, we plan on adding more depth to Pets and adding more ways to interact/manage them.

I can't really be specific though because it's far down the road and it hasn't really been thought out at all. But we will look into it.
