I think mutators should be modified with this option. So here is what the 'new' mutators could do

Lesser - Add one random carry, add one random visible or make one carry the pet already has visible.
Greater - Add one chosen visible, make one chosen carry visible.

This would help people who mass breed have another method of making a harder to get carry into a visible (for a cost), and allow mutators to be used on 6 carry pets.

Idea for something like this taken from Starline of the Vibrant Vorps thread and worked into something that could potentially work without going OP on the webpage. (I would quote the post but it was a small line within a large post)

I would of course support and love such a mutation device, right now the only way to alter pets is if we catch them. This potion would allow for carries to be visible. Perhaps since each pet is only allowed 1 genetic mutator, we could do Lessor, (random carried turns on), Greater (user picks one trait to turn on), Legendary (user picks two traits to turn on), and Epic, which will turn on all the carried traits that the pet has.

Just little ideas I am sure nothing like the higher tiers will exist but here is to wishing.

Altering bred pets in a way aside from dying is something I have always wished we could do. I like the idea of simply altering the lesser and genetic mutators to allow these things on tamed pets, but maybe there could be a completely different feature for any pet that could only make a carry visible?

I would also love something that would swap out an already existing visible with a different random trait in bred pets. Sometimes there is one trait in my projects that I just wish I could do away with but it is too dominant to breed out.

I would like to note here that, while it seemed implied, I was not saying to change the mutators to work on bred pets.

"This would help people who mass breed have another method of making a harder to get carry into a visible (for a cost), and allow mutators to be used on 6 carry pets."

Was meant to imply that you could catch a pet with a carry that you wanted in your project and make it visible on that captured pet. I personally have a 6 carry legendary vorp that was captured in the last fest that Id love to make one of the carries visible so it didn't look so out of place in my stables.

In my opinion, making mutators usable on bred pets would make them to OP.

Edited to fix terminology. I'm bad at the whole epic/legendary/mystical stuff >.> They just colors for me, but 'orange' vorp makes me think of an orange vorp, not a legendary one ><

A 6-carry pet is a legendary because it has 6GP, epic pets are 4TP.

It is actually possible to mutate a 6 trait legendary/mythical pet. It requires a philter of nullification (which can be obtained from the scale shop for 1k scales) to nullify a single trait of your choosing. You can then mutate the trait you'd like in the open slot with a greater genetic mutator or get a random one with a lesser.

As for the idea of upgrading the mutators - that I'd need to put more thought into before making an agree/disagree decision. TwT I'm on the fence with the idea at the moment.

I really, really dont lie this idea.

A whole major poin of this game si the breeding. A philter that allows you to chage a carried trait to visible imo is too gamebreaking. It ruins the point of breeding pets. I've seen simialr ideas before,a dn as i agree ti would be "nice" it is NOt soemthing i want to see int he game. Why make epts breedable if you can just make carried traits visible will nilly? To me, it would really ruin the breeding aprt of the game. Besides that, it would make epts with visible traits elss valuable. the easier it is to get visible traits, the less value they have.

I disagree, if I breed a 5 or 6 vis pet it can still only sell for 500g, its not too hard to breed high vis pets really so your point about them being worth less is invalid.

Lets say your out and about and your lucky to catch a legendary - having caught this pet you can mutate it. You can have extra traits added, or choose even a trait you like better.

You can dye the pet as many times as you like to the colors you want.

If you get a themed pet the options are
themed disruptions, which you can use unlimited amount of potions to get the desired traits.
again with themed you could dye the pet as many times as you want.

If you breed a pet, right now there are no choices other then disruption -
and dying - lets not forget you can dye as many times as you want.

Now I still think that breeding for a trait should be a thing, however - allowing a potion to switch on carried to vis wont be changing the gene as drastically as mutating it, all it will do is switch the carried into a visual.

This seems like a fair idea, but let's look at it this way. We already have trait disruption philters for themed pets. I think if the game was changed like that, it wouldn't be as much fun with breeding pets and helping others make projects.

When I catch themed pets, I put them up for a breeding sell, meaning they can have the traits that you want whether the trait is visible or carried. Another philter that alters a pet's trait might be a bit too far (cheating) is all. I mean, that's why pets have so many different traits that left carried or visible, it makes the game fun when you can just breed them together without having to use philters as much. :)

I'm not saying agree or disagree with this, this is just my thoughts on it.

-Thanks for reading this post.

Definitely can't agree with this I'm afraid, it would make everything far too easy - 6 vis themed fabled offspring are worth a decent amount of money at the minute, making a philter to make the process much easier would absolutely affect the price, value and economy. It's not about the fact we wouldn't need to use these on the themed pets themselves, it's the huge market for their offspring which would be most impacted.
