My name is Flute, I've been playing Sylestia for 3 years! And I like sharing any info that I can share to anyone. ^^

-critiques on your pet party or pet designs (though I'm not much of a designer myself aha)

Daily Bump 1:

My username is a shortened version of the usual name that I go by on other sites, flutekind (typically lowercase f). It's a spin on the fact that I played the flute when I was gaming in middle-to-high school, and the strife specibus from Homestuck. P:

Sylestia was probably the first place where I got away with using Flute, because I did a quick scan of the forums and saw that not too many names were taken. Now, if a site permits me, I use "Flute" if it isn't taken, or I default to flutekind or some other username.

As for playing the flute, I started playing in 6th grade, bought my own open-holed flute in 7th-8th grade, then kept playing it throughout 9th-12th grade. From 6th-9th grades, I played it in the concert setting, and from 9th-12th grades, I played it in my high school's marching band. I prefer marching band moreso because of the discipline and the physical activity combined with musical activity, plus its really fun.
My band director had this saying, "The only requirements for marching band are that you have to be able to breathe...and have fun." The rest came through much discipline and practice. ;u;

I stopped playing flute when I entered college, but I still have it at home. I probably forgot how to play it a little, aside from like a basic C scale LOL. But I'm sure I'll play it again sometime.

Other than the flute, I have very little musical talent~ >w> I don't like singing, and I played the piano briefly for a few years before deciding I liked flute more.

I can say for sure that music, much like any other talent or hobby, can be enhanced through practice!

Final thoughts on the matter...
If I could choose another instrument other than the flute, I'd probably play:
1. Trumpet, if I could have the chops for it LOL
2. Tuba, if I could have the chops AND the muscle to carry it!
3. Guitar/ukelele, I admired them more growing up
