Chapter 1: New Rules
The Wind Chasing Forest: A wonderful place for all sylesties to roam around. They make tribes there and some live in castles and homes. Some sylesties were poor and do tricks or sing songs to the forest folk for gold. Until....
"Get them all!" A voice roared across the forest. Two Ryories came out from behind the bushes and used their magic. The other sylesties did not know what was going on, dark magic stunned them. A Zolnixi saw the Ryories attacking her friends.
"No! Stop!" The Zolnixi called, she was going to get to the leader, but the two Ryories stunned her.
"You think you can stop us?" The Ryori finally jumped down from the tree.
"You cannot do this! We ran you all out years ago!" The Zolnixi grunted, she was trying to get free.
"Looks like you lose. You see? With the wind chasers gone, there is nothing you all can do. They are not here right now." The evil Ryori laughed.
"There has to be some new born ones!" The Zolnixi was almost free from the darkness that left her stunned and hurt badly.
"You may think so, but they all died off! This forest belongs to us now!" The Ryori smirked.
"Should we take them away sir?" The other Ryories asked.
"Yes. Take them away!" The Ryori growled.
"You haven't won yet Aval!" The Zolnixi called from her cage.
"But I have my dear." Aval laughed.
They all left with the sylesties in cages. Aval took over the castle in the center of the forest. Dark clouds blew over the Wind Chasing Forest, all of the sylesties were being stunned and put into cages.
"Hey!" One sylesti growled.
The Zolnixi watched in horror as her friends were being locked up along with her.
"Angel, is that you?" A voice grunted, it was a male Bulbori.
"Yes. They got all of us." Angel sighed, she wanted to help the others, but how?
"Angel, why do Ryories do this?" The male Bulbori looked worried.
"Sebastian, they do it to harm us! They are trying to make us their salves. But the wind chasers were always there for us. And maybe Aval is right, they all died." Angel laid down, her head on her paws.
"No..." Sebastian whispered.
The Ryories took the carriage to the center of the Wind Chasing Forest. They let all of the sylesties out, who were in chains.
"Move out you bums!" A Ryori pushed them. Angel couldn't feel all four of her legs, the stunning attacks gave her pain. Sebastian was walking behind her, his neck, arms, and legs in chains.
"Looks like we have new rules..." Angel growled.
"Yeah, and it's not pretty." Sebastian looked at her.
A gust of wing flew past Angel, she was the only one the noticed it. She looked back for a while until the Ryories yanked her chains.
"We said move! Come on!" A Ryori shouted. Angel sighed and continued on with the rest of the sylesti slaves.
"Is the Zolnixi in too?" Aval asked.
"Yeah, she is a little trouble but she's in." A Ryori smirked.
"Good. Nice work. We shall take over the forest now!" Aval went along with his plan.
(If you can hear me spirits of pure heart, save us all....)Angel prayed in her mind.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wind blew... Darkness cover the air. Caves were deserted and left behind due to the forest being polluted in darkness.
A running figure was in the distance, she was getting attacked by the darkness of another. She dashed towards the cliff top and left two eggs behind. One was her child and the other egg was of another parent, but realized that both eggs were of the same theme. The evil sylesti chased her. The figure was caught, but she turned around and there was a cliff, she had no choice. She leaped off the cliff to her death, leaving the two eggs behind. The evil sylesti turned and left.
(Goodbye my child... Goodbye other egg... May you both be good for the forest...) The figure fell to the ground, bleeding to death. Darkness covered the scene and the light of a spirit rose up.
The two eggs hatched and out came two baby Luffoxes. One was a male and the other one was a female.
They looked at each other before a flying figure came down to them. It was a black Ny'vene, he had a red armor on.
"I shall take care of you. I know one of you belong to that Luffox. Maiden died for you both, she was really good to you both." The Ny'vene took the Luffoxes and gave them care.
"Mew?" The female Luffox chirped.
"Maiden, why did you leave? I could have died for you..." The Ny'vene sighed.
He had a lot of things to teach them. How could he teach the two Luffoxes to fight and save the Wind Chasing Forest?
"I guess I should name you both. He pointed to the female, your name is Windflight. And the male is Xavier. Together, you both will learn to help the forest." The Ny'vene smiled at them.
Windflight tackled Xavier.
"Now the question is, which one of you is her child?" The Ny'vene asked.
Both Luffoxes stopped playing, both of them were confused by his question.
"Well I will take good care of you both. My name is Quince." The Ny'vene looked down at them.
They both laughed.
The two new born Luffoxes were ready to grow up and learn how to help the sylesties of the Wind Chasing Forest!

Chapter 2: A New Beginning
Windflight ran out of the den, Xavier followed her and leaped. Windflight ducked causing Xavier to fly into a tree branch.
"Oof!" Xavier shook his head and rubbed it.
"Are you ok?" Windflight asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Where is Quince?" Xavier was looking around for the big Ny'vene, be he was no where in sight.
"Hey, I wonder if we should go find him!" Windflight jumped up and down.
"Let's go!" Xavier was ahead of her, Windflight ran after him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quince was coming back from hunting, he had food for Windflight and Xavier.
He flew down and looked around for them in the den, it was empty.
"Where did they go?" Quince looked back and didn't see them. He sighed and flew up in the sky to follow them.
A looked down and saw to small figures running together on the bright path, he swooped down and grabbed them in his feet.
"Hey Quince!" Windflight giggled.
"Can you please put me down!" Xavier begged.
"You guys know the forest is dangerous. Ryories are still lerking around here." Quince replied.
"Yeah, but we were coming back Quince." Windflight argued.
"Sigh, you guys will never understand..." Quince was still thinking about Maiden. The beautiful wind chaser Luffox, she was very nice.
"What's wrong? What won't we understand?" Xavier was confused.
"The Ryories are dangerous sylesties, they want to make others their slaves or have them killed." Quince answered, feeling sad.
"We will be fine!" Windflight jumped up.
"Not for long..." A voice whispered.
"Who said that?" Quince growled. He turned around and saw two Ryories coming towards them.
"Go! Run back to the den!" Quince roared.
"You know those wind chasers are not leaving!" The Ryori growled, he was red and black.
"You! You must be Aval!" Quince growled back at him. Ready to attack the big Ryori.
"Yes, I'm Aval. And you are my slave." He smirked.
"I will never be your slave!" Quince flew into the air.
"If you fly away, we will kill the little ones." Aval summoned two other Ryories to join him. One was green and the other one was yellow.
"Fine... But if I win against you! You must leave my place!" Quince growled.
"Looks like I already won..." Aval grinned. Darkness covered Quince and stunned him.
"Ugh! R-run Windflight! Take Xavier with you!" Quince grunted.
"But Quince! You are our father! We will never leave you!" Windflight cried.
"No! G-get out of here! Y-you h-have t-to!" Quince was hurting. The pain made him weak.
"Well, well, well. You were not very stupid to fly off without your little ones." Aval smirked.
:Y- you will pay! They will get you Aval! They will kill you!" Quince growled, the darkness was hurting him more as he tried to get free and attack.
"Chain him up and put him in the cage! He's going to be the dungeon guard!" Aval called.
"Yes sir." Two Ryories came and knocked him into the cage.
"Stay in there!" One shouted.
("Sorry kids... Just run, do as your told...")Quince thought. He saw them standing there.
"Let him go!" Windflight called to Aval.
"Run! Get out of here guys!" Quince called to them.
"Will you be ok? Xavier shouted to him.
"Yes! I will be ok! I'm just leaving for a little while." Quince lied. He wanted them to be happy.
"Come on. We must run!" Windflight started running to the left. Xavier followed her.
"Goodbye my kids..." Quince watched them leave.
"Shut up! You are going to be my slave!" Aval growled.
"You are very rotten!" The black and red Ny'vene roared.
"Quince, you should help me guard the dungeon..." Aval started to say, but it made Quince mad.
"No! just because I'm a Ny'vene doesn't mean you can just take me in as one of your slaves!" He growled.
"What can you do about it Quince? You are chained up and we will not unchain you. Your chains will be left on at all times." Aval grinned.
"If you guys dare go back to get my two Luffoxes, I will rip you apart! Do you hear me!?" Quince was very angry now. He hated to see things go this way.
"We shall see about that! Ha!" Aval laughed.
Quince only looked at him with an angry look before looking at the forest he lived in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Do you think we lost them?" Windflight was looking back while running.
"Yeah! I do not hear them anymore." Xavier huffed.
"We should stop." Windflight noticed that her friend was tired.
"Yeah, let's go find a place to rest." Xavier saw a den. It was empty.
They both walked into it and found some nests inside. The old scent of a Zolnixi was what they smelled, it must have lived there before and then left.
"What are we going to do to save Quince? I don't think he would just leave us." Windflight knew about the cage and the chains.
"We must find the forest they are going to. We are wind chasers!" Xavier answered, feeling sad about Quince.
"I mean he's not like us, but yes! We have to follow those Ryories." Windflight jumped up.
"Maybe in the morning. We should return to the bright path and track them down." Xavier yawned. he curled up in a ball and fell asleep. Windflight did them same and fell asleep beside Xavier.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aval's carriage came to a stop near the castle. The two Qitaries stopped near the entrance, they looked at Aval.
"Go away now! I will call on you two later!" Aval called to the Qitaries. They nodded and dashed off with the carriage.
"Come! Drag Quince!" Aval ordered.
"Yes sir." The yellow Ryori replied.
Quince was silent, he followed them into the castle, he looked around at all of the sylesties in the dungeon room. They were locked up every night after they did things for Aval all day.
"This will be your place. You are being chained to this wall. You will guard the slaves. If they escape, go after them! Or we will find those kids and kill them!" Aval threatened him.
"You can't do that!" Quince tried to pull away from the wall but he was chained to it.
"Do as I say!" Aval growled before leaving.
"You chained me, how can I stop them from leaving the dungeon?" Quince finally asked.
"We will extend your chains tomorrow. If they try to leave, use your flame on them!" Aval replied.
("Sure thing, you idiot...")Quince thought to himself. He was watching the other sylesties.
"Who are you? Angel asked, the female Zolnixi looked at him from her cage.
"I'm Quince." The Ny'vene replied.
"Quince... That's a nice name." Angel smiled.
"I'm Sebastian." The Bulbori walked out from the shadows of his cage.
"Nice to meet you both. Do not try to escape. I have a plan." Quince replied.
"Are you really going to burn us?" Angel asked.
"No. He's trying to make me." Quince answered.
"Aval must be stopped." A small Puffadore growled.
"Yeah! We need a huge plan!" Another Bulbori called from the top cage above Sebastian's.
"What can we do?" A Qitari wondered.
"We have to think..." Quince started thinking.
"But Aval has the keys and the other Ryories must be watching us from above that hole." A rusted old Luffox pointed up at the hole in the ceiling.
"Yeah, if they can watch us, they know about our plans." Angel finally sighed.
"We must block the hole somehow." Quince was thinking more.
"How?" Sebastian asked, looking for a sylesti that could do it.
"We need... My kids..." Quince finally said.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day, Windflight and Xavier hurried up the hill and found the bright path. They followed it near the waterfall.
"So where should we look?" Xavier asked.
"If we follow the path, we should find Quince! Trust me, he has to be in the forest somewhere!" Windflight started to run and Xavier followed her.
They made their way up the rocks and saw everything from above, but they did not see Quince or the Ryories anywhere.
They both leaped down from the rocks and started to follow the bright path again.

Chapter 3: Slavery
Quince woke up the next day and noticed that his chains were extended for only 2 inches,he was able to reach the slaves if they dared to escape during the night. The rusted old Luffox whispered to him.
"Can you help us get out?" He asked.
"I wish I could, but like I said, I need my kids..." Quince replied, his head down.
"Well? Do you like the job Quince?" Aval finally asked.
"What do you want?" Quince growled.
"If you dare disobey me, you will see two dead Luffoxes in my jaws." Aval smirked.
"Fine." Quince looked away from him.
"Come on everyone! You will be put to work!" Aval unlocked their cages and let them out. Chains were still around their arms and legs.
"You will work all day! Some of you will serve me!" Aval explained.
"If you weren't so brave I would bit your head off!" Angel snapped at him.
"I bet you would, but you can't. I'm in control now." Aval grinned. He guided them to their stations.
"You guys will be pulling lots of water back from the river. We hate traveling to the lake and drinking." Aval explained their job.
"So you will unchain us?" Sebastian asked.
"Heck no! You will be in chains working!" Aval snapped.
"He doesn't trust us because of me." Angel replied.
"What? What will you do?" Sebastian asked.
"I will attack his butt!" The Zolnixi smirked before following Aval and the other chained sylesties.
"You will all form a line and get water." Aval got them into their positions. Angel looked up and noticed more wind. It was blowing behind her and into the darkness of the forest. She knew something was up.
"What is it Angel?" Sebastian asked.
"I saw some wind. That's all." She replied, feeling like he wouldn't believe her.
"Oh ok." He shrugged before Aval knocked him off his feet.
"Stop talking and go!" Aval growled at him. Angel growled at him back.
"You didn't have to push him!" Angel slapped him with her paw.
"Well then move it!" Aval walked back to the castle in the middle of the forest.
"I guess this is what we get for having peace without the wind chasers." Sebastian grumbled.
"I guess so. We are so out of luck here." Angel sighed.
"I wonder how Quince is doing..." Sebastian hated to see the Ny'vene chained to the wall of the dungeon in the castle.
"Quince will be fine. He's not going to hurt anyone." Angel reassured him while grabbing a bucket in her mouth when she got to the yellow and green Ryories. They stared at her with glowing angry eyes.
Angel scooped the water into the bucket and carried it back to the front of the castle. Sebastian did the same, he was always behind her. It made Angel feel better.
They continued to do the same thing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windflight and Xavier were on the way. They grew a little bigger. Xavier was leading them on the bright path to the forest where Quince was being held.
Suddenly, a Ryori walked up to them causing Windflight and Xavier to stop right in front of him.
"What do you want?" Windflight growled.
"You have business coming into my part of the forest!" He hissed.
"Sure, like you own it right?" Windflight was being smart.
"I can be nice and let you pass smart butt!" The Ryori hissed again.
"Well are you going to let us?" Xavier asked.
"Yeah, go on ahead. But if you growl at me again, I will not be so nice." The red Ryori walked back into the shadows of the dark part of the forest.
"Do you think we will ever find Quince?" Windflight asked, she was still trying to keep up with her friend.
"I'm sure. Quince is never too far!" Xavier was giving her hope. Windflight nodded and finally caught up to him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quince looked up at the hole in the ceiling, if only he could reach it. He could escape, but he was chained up and his escape was not going to be easy.
"Please... Come find me..." Quince prayed as Aval came back.
"How are you doing?" Aval smirked, he knew that Quince would roar in his face.
"Leave me alone Aval! All you do is hurt other sylesties and it isn't right!" Quince said while keeping his eyes on the ground.
"You really feel the need to betray me, don't you?" Aval was starting to know Quince's feelings. He walked over to Quince and used his dark powers on him. He stunned Quince.
"W-why are you doing this?" He grunted.
"Quince, I had enough! Stop trying to escape, I heard you all talking last night!" Aval pushed the darkness over Quince a lot harder than last time.
"Ugh!" Quince choked.
"Betray me and this is what you will get and your kids will die!" Aval growled.
"Fine! Do what you wish!" Quince finally felt the pain going away slowly. The darkness stopped.
"I'm going to get the others back in here, it's getting late." Aval left Quince in the dungeon room.
"Yeah, get out of here..." Quince muttered under his breath, watching the black and red armored Ryori walk to the lake.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Angel, is this enough water?" Sebastian was getting tired. He was panting.
"I hope so, we have been at this for hours and many of us hate it." Angel sighed, she wanted to go back to the dungeon with Quince.
"I wanna go back home." The small Puffadore whined.
"If only we could stop this!" Another Bulbori shouted from behind Sebastian.
"Hey! Come back! You're done for the day!" Aval and two purple Ryories walked up to the group of slaves.
"Well we get to go back." Angel grinned a little bit.
"Yeah, but we will be locked up and taken back out tomorrow for another long day." Sebastian replied.
"I know." Angel whispered.
They made it back to the castle, Aval walked to the throne room while the two purple Ryories led the slaves back to the dungeon. Quince heard them talking, but he didn't know what it was all about until they got there.
"So did you guys have a nice day?" Quince asked, looking down at the ground.
"I was tough." Angel replied.
"We had to carry water remember?" Sebastian explained.
"Oh yeah. I bet it was hard." Quince replied.
"Did you have a nice day Quince?" Angel asked.
"No... Aval came in and heard us talking." Quince answered.
"Did he hurt you? You are bleeding a little bit." Angel noticed his scars.
"I'm fine!" Quince growled pulling his arm away.
"Ok!" Angel backed away.
"Sorry... I just don't like it when people touch me like that." Quince sighed and looked back at Angel and Sebastian.
"That's ok. You are new to this place huh?" Angel nodded.
"Well I have heard about this place and it looks nice, but with the dark clouds in the sky, it looks like a nightmare." Quince smiled, then quickly dropped it.
"Yeah, this place has become a nightmare." Sebastian's ears drooped.
"We've got to do something!" Angel was walking back and forth in her cage, pacing.
"We should not have to wait!" A Qitari shouted from behind Angel's cage.
"Yeah!" A Sylvorpa called.
"But how?" Quince silenced everyone.
"There is nothing we can do." The old rusted Luffox sighed.
"For now... But help us coming." Quince looked up at the hole in the ceiling.
"We better calm down. Aval might hear us again." Sebastian suggested.
"Yeah, he might hurt Quince again if we don't." A Puffadore nodded and looked up at the dragon sylesti.
"Let's all get some sleep, we need to rest." Angel yawned. Sebastian laid down in the cage and fell asleep. Quince sat on his haunches and started to lay down, he covered his face with his wings. He was soon asleep too.
("Please... Windflight and Xavier... Find us and help us soon...") Quince prayed in his sleep.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windflight found a cave while Xavier found a few glowing rocks. She called to him.
"Xavier! We should sleep!" Windflight called from above the hill.
"I'm coming. I was just looking around." Xavier finally ran up the hill and met her gaze.
They both walked into the cave and found more nests. Other sylesties that have once been there, have left because of the darkness in the forest.
"This place had more empty nests and they smell like Morkkos this time." Windflight sniffed them.
"A Morkko must have had children in here." Xavier guessed.
"Well, let's go to sleep now." Windflight yawned.
"Good night." Xavier curled up and rested his head on his paws. Windflight was already sleeping.
Two Ryories were watching them from afar.
"We better tell Aval. They might catch us!" A blue Ryori with wings whispered.
"Yeah, let's go!" A yellow Ryori with armor nodded as they both ran back to the Wind Chasing Forest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quince was standing near a cliff, he saw Windflight and Xavier. They were running to him. Quince started to fly over to them, but Aval stopped him.
"What?" Quince gasped. Windflight and Xavier disappeared from the scene and Aval grew into a giant Ryori.
"Ha ha ha!" Aval laughed as he sent Quince into a dark tornado storm. Quince spinning around in it like crazy and started to scream.
"Why are you doing this?" Quince roared as he fell to the ground, which was now red and surrounded by lava.
Aval was in the lava laughing he was on two legs and more Ryories started walking up to him slowly, they all grinned at him.
"No! Don't closer I will fly if I have to!" Quince growled, but his wings were gone. He only had two arms and two feet and legs.
"Ha ha ha!" Aval laughed again.
("What happened to my wings?") Quince finally realized that his wings were gone.
"I can't fly!" Quince called.
"No... You can't! Ha ha ha!" Aval laughed.
The Ryories were slowly gaining up on Quince, they were forcing him off the cliff.
"Good bye Quince!" Aval roared, Quince backed off too fast and he started to fall into the lava.
Quince's head quickly shot up and he was breathing very hard while looking around quickly. He saw Angel and Sebastian in their cages sleeping. Even the old rusted Luffox was sleeping. He only sighed and went back to sleep.
(It was only a dream...") Quince was asleep again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day, Angel and Sebastian were already gone from their cages that morning. Quince woke up and didn't see them.
"I must have been sleeping in. I did wake up in the middle of the night." Quince remembered his dream, but not all of it. He sat up and looked around.
"Hey Quince." A voice greeted him.
"Angel?" Quince turned to see her.
"Yeah, I'm back early. They are locking me back up." Angel replied. The Ryori opened her cage and she walked into it.
"Why are you back early?" Quince asked.
"They wanted me to knock over bricks, and that's what I did." Angel shrugged.
"You must be strong. Are you using magic attacks or physical attacks?" Quince wanted to know.
"I use physical." Angel answered with a small smile.
"Oh. I wonder why Aval caught you. You look like a guard than a slave to me." Quince noticed her pearl armor.
"Yeah, but Aval thinks dragons work best." She sighed.
"I rather be with my kids." Quince looked at her.
"You miss them huh?" Angel was feeling bad for him.
"Yes, I do." Quince replied, he looked the other way again. A tear coming from his right eye.
"We will get out of here soon. We might find a way and get to your kids!" Angel jumped up.
"You're right. We need to start a plan tonight!" Quince smirked.
"Yeah. And Sebastian will be able to help!" Angel smiled.
"Good, we shall start our escape tonight." Quince grinned while looking at his chains.
"We shall be free from Aval." Angel closed her eyes.

Chapter 4: Important Matters
Angel started mapping out a plan to get out of the town. She drew pictures of them in the sand beneath her as Quince watched her carefully.
"You know, if Aval sees us writing this plan in sand, we are dead." Quince reminded her.
"I know, that's why I'm hoping for Sebastian to get back from his job. We need him as well." Angel pointed out.
"I see. What can Sebastian do?" Quince was curious.
"Sebastian can break through soft walls. This place has a secret somewhere. I never found it yet." Angel explained.
"So he can break through walls to get us out of here... Nice plan indeed." Quince smiled and nodded.
"Listen, if it will get you to find the wind chasers. I'll be glad to help out." The female Zolnixi gave him a look before returning to her plan.
Quince continued to watch her draw the final parts to the plan. He seemed to look at it funny towards the end.
"Are you sure you want me to fire blast the two guards?" Quince was afraid to fail. He looked at Angel with a worried look in his eyes.
"Aw, come on Quince. You sound tough, you look tough. How bad can this part of the plan be?" Angel laughed.
"Fine... I shall go with your plan. If this doesn't work, we will have to take some more time." Quince looked the other way.
Sebastian finally hopped into the cages as the Ryories closed it and placed a lock on it.
"Hey guys!" Sebastian smiled.
"Hey, what do you think of this plan?" Angel showed her friend the artwork that she did in the sand.
"It looks like a picture of us having fun." Sebastian looked confused.
"No! This is an escape plan!" Angel growled.
"Oh ok! Ok!" He backed away in fear.
"Sorry Sebastian..." Angel looked down at her planned work. Quince noticed Aval walking into the room.
"Tomorrow, you three are coming with me." Aval looked at Sebastian, Angel and Quince.
"Why? So you could shove us into hell!" Angel roared at him.
"Ha! Throw you into hell, just who do you think you are?" Aval laughed.
"Shut up! We will get out of here soon!" Sebastian growled at him.
"Try to escape and you will be killed. No questions asked..." Aval growled back, then he turned around and left them.
"Tonight, we are leaving!" Angel called to everyone.
All of the sylesties cheered and bounced around in their cages.
"Who is going to pick at the locks?" Quince asked.
"I will." Angel replied.
"What will I do?" Sebastian asked.
"You are going to keep watch and make sure that we are not being watched by the Ryories." Angel answered.
"Ok. That sounds easy enough." Sebastian smiled.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xavier was walking near a lake, he needed a drink. Windflight followed him and jumped into the lake. She was getting hot from walking in the sun. The path was very long and time was running loose.
"Windflight, are you ok?" Xavier watched her splash around in the lake.
"Yeah, I need to cool off silly!" She giggled.
"Right..." Xavier playfully rolled his eyes.
"Don't go rolling your eyes at me!" Windflight laughed.
"I'm playing!" Xavier leaped into the water and played with her.
"Shouldn't we just continue nuow?" Windflight jumped out of the lake and shook off. Xavier was enjoying himself too much to leave the lake.
"Aw, come on! Have fun!" Xavier begged her.
"I'll watch you." Windflight smiled. She watched him play in the water for a few hours.
Finally Xavier leaped out of the lake and shook off.
"We have to go." Xavier finally said. Windflight nodded and they continued on the bright path. It was long and narrow.
"I wonder if we will find Quince." Windflight looked around and saw huge trees.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sebastian was looking at the guards from afar. Angel finally whispered to everyone and she showed them the plan she drew.
"So we are finally leaving?" A Qitari was surprised.
"Yes we are leaving." Angel nodded and smiled.
Quince looked at Angel and smiled too. He showed Angel his chains so that she could pick at the lock.
"Ok. I'm picking the locks." Angel picked at hers. She finally got it unlocked. Quince nodded at her while she picked at Sebastian's lock. Sebastian kicked the cage open as Angel finished picking his lock off. Quince waited for Angel to help him.
Once Angel unlocked everyone's cages and they all cheered.
"Shhhh! You guys gotta be quiet." Angel whispered to them.
"Right." We shall find the secret path." The old Luffox lead the way.
"Sebastian, it's up to you." Angel nodded to him. Quince walked slowly behind everyone.
"Ok!" Sebastian kicked at the walls until the wall broke down. Angel noticed some stairs that lead into darkness.
"Come on. Be Quiet and no sounds..." Angel shushed them all.
Quince was in front now, he was leading the group towards the end of the secret path.
"Do you see any guards?" A Lupora asked.
Quince peeked out of the cave and looked around.
"No, they are all asleep in the castle I guess." Quince shrugged and continued on. The others followed him.
"I think we are free!" A Puffadore barked in happiness.
They all jumped over the darkness that had the power to stun any sylesti.
Freedom was coming to them.
Aval walked back to the dungeon and saw no one in there.
"THEY ESCAPED!!! GUARDS!!!" Aval roared.
"We are on it!" A yellow Ryori rushed in. A green one followed after him.
"You all won't escape me!" Aval growled as he vanished into thin air.

Chapter 5: A Journey Maiden Went Through
Xavier and Windflight shook off more water from their fur and continued on. They both looked ahead and saw two big Zolnixies standing in their path.
"Who are you two? You are near our territory!" The first Zolnixi growled.
"Yeah, and what are you going to so about it?" Windflight asked.
"We are going to teach you both a lesson you will never forget!" The second Zolnixi growled, this one was black while the other was white.
"Better watch it Windflight! They are in for a fight!" Xavier jumped out of the way in time as Windflight leaped into the air.
"Stop moving!" The black Zolnixi tried to attack Xavier but eh tripped over a huge rock. The white Zolnixi was going after Windflight, his paws were pounding the ground. He leaped into the air and slashed Windflight in her sides.
"Oh!" Windflight squealed and fell to the ground. Xavier attacked the black Zolnixi with his claws. Wind blew fast against the black Zolnixi.
"You seem strong for a small sylesti. I'm so glad Luffoxes don't grow that big!" The black Zolnixi grinned as he kicked Xavier off his feet.
"Windflight!" Xavier called to her. Windflight slowly got up, blood was leaking from her side.
"So much pain..." She grunted. The white Zolnixi charged at her, he leaped into the air again and struck her. Windflight was sent flying near a cliff.
"Looks like you both lose." The black Zolnixi laughed. Xavier pulled from under the black Zolnixi and rushed towards the white one. He leaped on the white Zolnixi and but into his neck.
"Ugh! Get off!" The White Zolnixi cried in pain, he ran around in circles with the Luffox clinging to his neck real hard. The black Zolnixi charged towards them both while Windflight was trying to lick off the blood on her side. Xavier jumped off the white Zolnixi before the black Zolnixi could catch him.
The black Zolnixi crashed into the white Zolnixi. They both hit each other hard in the head.
"Ouch!" The black Zolnixi roared.
"Darn it!" The white Zolnixi grunted. He was dizzy from the hit.
"You both might have won, but next time, you both won't be lucky!" The black Zolnixi took off. The white one followed him.
"Xavier help!" Windflight called her partner. Xavier heard her calling his name, he ran over to her. Feeling worried, he saw her wounds.
"I... I can't move... I'm hurting." Windflight tried to get up.
"Here." Xavier placed his paw on her side. His power was hidden within him as he learned the healing wave.
Windflight got up and felt better.
"How did you learn that?" Windflight asked, her head was tilted to one side.
"I don't know. I can only use it when I stand still and place my paw on a wound. The magic won't work if you are not injured." Xavier explained.
"Do I have powers?" Windflight questioned herself.
"Don't worry. You do. You just haven't found it yet." Xavier reassured her.
"Thanks Xavier. Come on! Let's find Quince!" She dashed ahead of him and Xavier dashed after her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quince was ahead of the slaves, he led them through the deep part of the Wind Chasing Forest.
"Quince, do you know where we are going?" Sebastian asked.
"Yes, we are going to find my kids! They are the answer to saving the forest!" Quince panted while running on.
"We need a place to rest." Angel noticed that all of the sylesties were getting tired from running.
"Where should we rest? Any caves?" Quince looked around.
"Maybe I can dig us a place." The old Luffox slowly walked to the middle of the forest clearing.
"Not near the middle." Quince pointed out the reason.
"Maybe near a tree." Angel suggested as the old Luffox walked over to a tree and started digging.
"We better hurry and hide. Aval's guards will find us soon." Quince watched for trouble coming.
"Are you done yet?" Sebastian asked the old Luffox.
"Almost, I feel the ground giving way!" The old Luffox answered as the hole was made. It was dark and no one knew how deep the hole was.
"Let's all hide in here." Angel led the sylesties into the hole.
Everyone made it into the hole and sat in a circle. Quince made some light with his flame breath.
"Just some light so that we can see better." Quince smiled.
"Quince, what do your kids look like?" Sebastian asked him finally.
"They are wind chasers." Quince told the truth. Everyone gasped.
"Wind chasers are still in existence?" A Lupora barked.
"Yes. They had a mother. Her was Maiden." Quince replied.
"I know her!" Angel looked at him.
"You know Maiden?" Quince was confused.
"Yes. She would always come to save us when the Ryories showed up. But when Aval came that day and caught us, Maiden was not around." Angel explained her story.
"So Maiden never told me." Quince looked down.
"She did say that she had a Ny'vene friend. It was you." Angel guessed.
"Yes. I'm her friend. And she had two eggs." Quince answered.
"So she had a mate too." Angel tried to picture the family.
"Yes. Maiden never told anyone. I guess after she lost him, she didn't want to talk about him. She always looked troubled." Quince replied.
"I know..." Angel replied softly.
"I kind of noticed her." Sebastian joined in.
"You saw one time." Angel reminded him.
"I know. That's what I meant." Sebastian replied.
"Let's all get some rest." A Morkko yawned.
Everyone nodded as Quince blew out his own fire and laid down to sleep. His wings covered his sides.
Angel was sleeping on top of Sebastian while everyone was sleeping a few inches away from each other.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Aval sir! We did not find them." A green Ryori announced.
"What!?" Aval looked back at him from his dinner.
"Sorry sir. They got us lost..." The yellow Ryori looked at the blue one.
"You three are going to find them now!!!!" Aval roared.
"But we don't know where they are!" The blue Ryori argued.
"If they are not back here in three days, you all will be killed!" Aval threatened them.
They all backed away from him in fear and vanished. Aval looked down at his plate.
"They better find them all..." Aval growled.
"We better find them!" The yellow Ryori was ahead of the group.
"Let's go take the deepest path!" The green Ryori suggested.
They all nodded and ran into the deepest path in the forest, leaving the bad thoughts behind.
"Aval!" A red Ryori bursts into the room, fear in his eyes.
"What is it?" Aval asked, he was confused when he saw the look on the red one's face.
"A whole group of Ny'venes have come." The Ryori replied, looked scared.
"What? Why? What do they want?" Aval growled.
"They want to see you." The red Ryori backed off and vanished.
Aval grunted and pushed his plate away and vanished. He appeared near the entrance of the Wind Chaser castle.
Four Ny'venes were standing in front of him. Anger in their eyes.
"What do you four want? To die?" Aval laughed.
"No! We are here for Quince! He's one of our leaders!" A female Ny'vene roared.
"He's not here!" Aval growled.
"You have him here! I know about your plans!" A male Ny'vene growled and pushed Aval down with his tough tail.
"Do that again and I will get the guards on you!" Aval hissed.
"What did you do with Quince!" The female Ny'vene questioned him.
"Listen, he left! I don't know who you all are. But I do know that you are not leaving this place!" Aval's anger turned into laughter.
"What?" The other Ny'venes turns their heads and saw more Ryories appearing in a circle. Trapping them all in darkness.
"Ouch!" All of the Ny'venes roared in pain. Darkness was stunning them and shocking them at the same time.
"Why?" The male Ny'vene grunted in pain.
"You are going to be castle guards. When Quince returns, he is going to guard the dungeon and get his punishment for leaving without permission!" Aval growled.
"Sir?" A white Ryori tilted his head to one side.
"TAKE THEM AWAY!" Aval roared as the white and black Ryori took them away.
"How can they chain us so fast?" One of the Ny'venes grumbled.
"Shut up!" A Ryori shouted.
"Aval, are they gone?" The red Ryori asked.
"STOP BEING A BABY AND LEAVE ME BE!" Aval roared in his face.
"Sorry..." The red Ryori backed off and left as Aval went back to his dinner to eat.
"Pest!" Aval only grumbled before eating.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xavier and Windflight finally made up the hill. They were spotted by two Vulynxes, they hissed at them.
"Are you two going to stop us?" Xavier braced himself. Windflight was ready to start the attack.
"Why are you both here?" One of them asked. They didn't want to battle at all.
"Windflight stop. They are not going to fight us." Xavier calmed her down. Windflight stood back in her normal position, looking at them.
"If you want to get past this point, follow us." The other Vulynx turned and walked ahead.
"Where are you taking us?" Xavier wondered.
"You both need to get the to Wind Chasing Forest right?" The female Vulynx guessed.
"Is that where we are going? We are looking for our father, not a forest." Xavier corrected them.
"Was it a Luffox?" The male Vulynx asked.
"No. It was a Ny'vene." Windflight answered.
"We have not seen one around here for a long time." The Vulynx replied.
"Well, take us to the middle of the bright path." Xavier nodded.
"Ok." The female Vulynx led the way. Her mate was behind her.
Windflight was glad they had help. They continued on.
After a long walk through the deep part of the forest, they found the bright path.
"Thanks guys." Xavier purred.
"You're both welcome." The male Vulynx smiled and his mate purred. They both turned and leaped into the bushes.
"They are a big help, but it's getting late." Windflight yawned.
"Yeah, let's go find a place to sleep." Xavier walked over to a cave. Windflight ran after him and leaped over him playfully.
"Come on Windflight, let's get some rest. I see two nests we can rest in for the night." Xavier pointed to them. Windflight giggled and ran over to the nest. She curled up in it and yawn before placing her head on her tail.
Xavier curled up and rested his head on his paws with his tail covering his nose.
"Good night Xavier." Windflight purred.
"Good night Windflight." Xavier yawned and fell asleep. Soon enough, Windflight fell asleep too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day, Angel woke up and noticed that Quince was still sleeping. Sebastian was still sleeping on the ground next to a Lupora. Angel peeked out of the hole and saw the darkness in the sky. She couldn't tell whether it was day or night. But she knew it was time to get up.
Sebastian yawned and got up and everyone else did the same. Quince was the last one up, he let out a huge yawn revealing his pink sharp tongue, his sharp teeth and his uvula which swung from left to right due to his yawn being a roar.
Everyone turned to face him.
"Sorry...." Quince whispered.
"It's fine..." A Morkko giggled.
"You got us scared." A Qitari laughed. He was ok with his roar.
"Let's find those wind chasers before the Ryories catch us." Angel led them out of the hole and they followed her.
Sebastian was always by her side and now Quince was walking on the other side of her.
"Angel, we are going to find them for sure." Quince was confident.
"I know we will." Angel smiled at him.
"I wonder if they are looking for us." Sebastian was looking at Angel and Quince.
"They must be." Quince looked up at the sky. It was just darkness. No sun light or blue sky.
"Is this morning?" The old Luffox was confused.
"It's morning I think." Angel sounded unsure.
"Well, when we find them, we are heading back to the Wind Chasing Forest and stopping Aval!" A Lupora called out from the group.
Angel nodded and they continued on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The three Ryories go lost again.
"We past that bush 5 times already!" The blue Ryori hissed at the green one.
"Well, where do you think they went?" The green Ryori asked.
"You two are going to get us killed!" The yellow Ryori hissed.
"What do we tell him now?" The green Ryori was scared.
"We are not going back! If we do, we are dead!" The yellow Ryori roared.
"We shall continue on..." They all vanished.

Green Ryori: He is the one that gets confused while trying to find Quince and the gang. He hates to be threatened and gets scared when Aval gets on their case about things. He also has bad feelings when he has to chain up the slaves.
Blue Ryori: He hates to fail a mission. He is easily upset when the green Ryori gets them lost in the deep part of the forest. The yellow one tries to make him feel better.
Red Ryori: This Ryori is afraid of Ny'venes and he will always bug Aval about it. Causing the king Ryori to yell at him. This Ryori is always the one to be left out of the sylesti slave hunt.
Yellow Ryori: The bravest of the four, he leads the group to find Angel's group. While looking for them, he gets frustrated due to their group running around in circles. He soon figures a way out of the deep forest.

Chapter 6: Sylesti War
Quince was getting close to his old home. He realized the dens were empty and darkness was hovering before them.
"Are we near your place Quince? You seem to be flying up a little bit." Sebastian noticed this as Quince slowly flew back down.
"Yes, this is my place. All Ny'venes once lived here. I had a group too." Quince was looking for them.
"Are we going to use them to help us?" Angel asked.
"No, at this point it would be too much for them as well." Quince looked at the empty dens.
"We failed?" Sebastian asked.
"No. We are going to find those wind chasers." Angel replied.
"Yeah." The old Luffox looked up at Quince.
They all kept on going, they passed the Ny'vene dens and walked off into the deep and dark lands. The place where the Ryories came from.
"These are Ryori dens." Angel pointed out. Quince nodded and saw something shiny in one of the dens.
"What is that?" Quince wondered while he flew over to the den above a cliff.
He peered into the den, no sylesti was living in it. But a small glow was on the ground. It was dust from a wind chaser.
"Oh, it's only Maiden's dust. I guess I shall take it." Quince muttered to himself as he scooped up the dust and flew back to the group.
"Any ideas of where we are?" Sebastian asked.
"We are in the place where Maiden died." Quince looked down at the ground.
"Oh come on Quince, Maiden has to be alright, I'm her friend too." Angel smiled, but Quince roared.
"No! I saw her running! She jumped off a cliff and killed herself for her own sake!" Quince was almost in tears.
"I'm going to the other end of the cliff then!" Angel hissed as Sebastian got ready to follow, but he changed his mind and waited for her. The rest of the group was looking down, they couldn't believe that the mother of all wind chasers was gone.
Angel walked near a figure that was lying on the ground. She gasped, and ran up to it. It was small and it was covered in the darkness that hovered in the air. Angel finally saw the figure up close, and used her tail to wipe the dark dust out of the air.
"No..." Angel saw a dead Luffox on the ground. Her body was cold.
"Maiden?" Angel was trying to see if she was awake.
"Angel, come on." Quince walked up to her.
"No! This is not true!" Angel was in tears.
"Maiden is dead. There is nothing we can do. We must find her children before it's too late." Quince replied, trying to get Angel and leave.
"Quince, we will find them." Angel sniffled and walked back to the group. Quince placed the dust on Maiden and nodded. He looked at her body for a long time before leaving, he noticed blood on her.
(She jumped. How did she bleed to death if she jumped?) Quince was lost in thought. He finally walked back to the group and had everyone follow his lead.
"I'm sorry Angel." Sebastian sighed.
"She will rest in peace." Angel wiped her tears with her paw.
"Hey guys, I smell some Ryories, we better hurry!" A Vulynx in the group hissed.
"We need to run! Come on, follow me!" Quince flew into the air and the other ran after him. The old Luffox tripped on a rock, but the Morkko came in picked him up in her jaws.
"Thank you." He whispered.
"hhhm." The Morkko kept on running, she got closer to the group and stayed in the back just in case.
The yellow Ryori sniffed the air. His armor was shining.
"They have been here alright. Let's get a look around before we chase them." The yellow Ryori smiled.
"But Chance, we might lose them if we waste time here." The blue Ryori growled.
"No, we will catch up, I just wanna know why they came here." Chance grinned.
"Ok." The blue Ryori sighed.
"Keep your pants on Rice." The green Ryori smiled.
"Shut up Trace!" Rice hissed. He followed Chance.
Chance saw a figure on the ground, it was Maiden's body, it was cold and the glowing dust was spread out on her body.
"Looks like someone has been here. A Ny'vene and a Zolnixi." Rice grinned, his sharp teeth was large.
"We got ourselves some sylesties to catch!" Trace finally hissed as she leaped over his group and ran into the darkness again.
"Wait for us!" The rest of them called as they followed him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quince was flying in the air, seeing no signs of Xavier and his friend Windflight.
"Do you see them?" A Lupora asked.
"No! I do not." Quince called from above. He suddenly felt pain in his body, he closed his eyes and opened them and darkness was around him.
"Quince! Whats going on?" Angel asked, she saw him covered in darkness.
"I... Don't... Ugh!" Quince fell to the ground, he was injured badly.
"You all thought you can just leave the forest..." A voice hissed.
"Show yourself Ryories!" Angel growled as the group braced themselves as well.
"You are just a stupid Zolnixi." The yellow Ryori appeared before them.
"Get out of here Chance!" Angel hissed.
"What? So we can fail? No! Aval wanted us to find you." Chance grinned.
"And you all will not leave ever again!" Rice roared.
"Why is that?" Sebastian growled, he stood in front of Angel, he was willing to protect her from their attacks.
(Sebastian...) Angel noticed that her best friend was protecting her.
"Well if you all don't know, we have captured Quince's group. They are with us right now." Chance laughed.
"If you come with us, they will stay alive." Rice grinned at them.
"If you don't, they will face death!" Trace growled.
"You all are too scared..." Quince grunted.
"Shut up! You are definitely coming with us!" Rice hissed at him.
"No! Quince is not coming back to that forest without his kids!" Angel roared.
"Yeah!" Sebastian was still in front of his friend.
"You wanna battle?" Chance laughed.
"If we win, Quince is with us and you guys have to face Aval!" Angel made a deal with them.
"Fine, if we win, Quince and the rest of you will return with us as salves!" Chance agreed.
The Morkko dropped the old Luffox and braced herself.
"It's all of us against you three!" The Morkko growled.
"You all might try, but you all will lose!" Rice leaped at Angel but Sebastian leaped up and slashed the Ryori in the belly.
"Ow ow ow!" He grunted and fell to the ground.
"Oh god!" Angel laughed but she leaped back as Chance started to attack her with his dark magic. Angel used her light magic and blocked his attack. Quince was trying to get back up. The darkness was damaging his body so much that it was getting hard to break free from the attack.
"Take this!" The Vulynx clawed Rice. Rice was bleeding all around his body, he was not able to move.
"Damn it!" Rice grumbled.
Chance was taken down by a Lupora in the group, she was about to slash Chance's throat.
"Ok ok! We will leave!" Chance hissed.
Angel cheered, the others cheered too.
"We have won this small war." Sebastian smiled. The darkness the hovered over Quince disappeared.
"No..." Quince fainted.
"Quince!" Everyone shouted and ran up to the sylesti.
"He will be ok, let's carry him." Angel lifted Quince onto her back and they continued on.
They all carried on with Quince on their shoulders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"YOU THREE DID WHAT!?" Aval shouted.
"We failed you." Chance looked down.
"You all are in big trouble!" A purple Ryori walked up from behind them and chained the up.
"Chance, I gave you 2 chances to get them!" Aval hissed at them.
"I'm sorry." Chance sighed.
"Sorry will not get the slaves back." Aval growled.
"We are not part of this! Rade help us!" Rice called to the red Ryori.
"I'm not allowed to interfere with your issues." Rade sighed.
"Rade go!" Aval hissed.
"Ok sir." Rade walked away and left the castle.
"Take them away!" Aval growled.
"We will return to kill you sir." Chance growled.
Rice hissed and Trace growled, but the purple Ryori yanked their chains.
"Come!" The purple Ryori walked ahead of them while holding their chains.
"Are they going to kill us?" Trace was scared.
"I don't know." Chance sighed.
"We are such fools." Rice hissed while looking at his paws.
They were going to face their fate soon.
