When one is new, Sylestia can be confusing. While Sylestia one of the friendliest and most welcoming communities on the 'Net, many new players are uncomfortable asking questions about how things work.
This thread is for newer players to have a chance to learn about how Sylesti auctions work by participating in "Auctions with training wheels." The prices are low, without those huge, intimidating sums of gold and Diamonds changing hands, yet one can still purchase a valuable pet.
Here's how it works. First, read at least the first post in each of these threads--
Pet Sale Conduct (Read Before Selling Pets)
Pet Auction Rules {Please Read Before Posting}
As you can see, these rules are just ordinary politeness plus common sense. The enormous majority of players follow these rules without even thinking about it, which is one reason Sylestia is such a cool place.
To these rules I add the following, specific to this thread--
1. You may only participate in an Auction here if your account is at least 30 days old but no more than 120 days old.
2. I will allow a bidder to withdraw a bid if the bidder realizes they bid more gold than they could afford, realizes they don't have room for the pet, etc., providing the bidder lets me know about their mistake. Please note that ordinary Auctions do not allow this! This is my special rule to help newer players participate in their first Auction with confidence. If you goof, it's not the end of the world.
3. If you don't understand something, or an aspect of an auction isn't clear, please post your question here. You see, if you have a question, there's probably two or three other people who have the same question and are too shy to ask it. Help everyone out by asking your question here in this thread. You don't have to be participating in an auction to ask questions. I especially urge players whose accounts are less than 30 days old to ask questions, even though they can't bid (yet).
4. Have fun! Learn things!

This Auction Has Ended.
Each pet image links to the pet.
Note: Final bid must stand for 15 minutes. This means if someone bids at 11:59 pm on Saturday, everyone else has until 12:14 am on Sunday to out-bid that person. If that person is outbid, the 15-minute clock starts over again. This keeps happening until 15 minutes has passed with no further bids, at which point the last high bidder wins the pet. This rule is to prevent sniping.
_______________________________________________________________ Update: Pet #1 has been sold.
Pet #1 is in honor of the recent Kelpari re-vamp.
Hello! My name is Alatus.
He's a Purebred Lovely Kelpari colt, so you could use him in your PB Lovelies breeding plan. On the other hand, you could change his Eye Color and his Mutation Two Color for free--no Dyes needed!--if you wanted to do a non-Themed Kelpari project of your own.
Sold: for the BIN Price, to Xanllan.
_______________________________________________________________ Update: Pet #2 has been sold.
Pet #2 is a female Purebred Anthias Lunemara--
I'm called Forbidden Line, which is a physics term.
Yes, I'm quite smart.
I seldom sell female Anthias Lunes, but Forbidden Line's son turned out very well, so I can afford to let her offer her stats, colors, and traits to somebody else's Stables.
Sold: for the BIN Price, to Myshadowle.
_______________________________________________________________ Update: Pet #3 has been sold.
Pet #3 is a Purebred Pretty Poppy Qitari stallion--
Greetings. I am Royal Wedding.
Just like Anthias Lunemaras, the Pretty Poppy Qitaries are an Exclusive Theme. Royal Wedding hatched out already at Level 3 and with a Health of 300! All four of his other stats are identical to each other (26), so you could develop him as any type of Party, Mission, or Arena pet. (If you haven't found the Arena yet--you will!)
_______________________________________________________________ Update: Pet #4 has been sold.
Pet #4 is a Purebred Springtime Zolnixi todd--
My name's Ailm. That's the twentieth
letter of the Ogham alphabet.
Springtime was the very first Zolnixi Theme; it came out during the 2013 Spring Festival. Back then, Sylestia was so new, no one had come up with the idea of Tagging Themed pets, which makes Springtime Zolnixies difficult to locate via Advanced Search. Anyhow, Ailm is the son of Mileach, the first-and-only Tamed Springtime Zolnixi to have the Flower Vines trait, so of course Ailm has it as a Carried trait.
Sold to: Gillyboo, for 55 gold.
_______________________________________________________________ Update: Pet #5 has been sold.
Edit: I am adding Pet #5, a Purebred Banana Pudding Luffox with five trait points, because the amazing Mikazukichan dontated him for this auction--
My name's Belafonte. Isn't that cool?
He was also hatched with quite a high Agility, so he could be a good Agility Mission pet.

(Pets being auctioned change roughly twice per week. Times are in Sylestian Time. Ping me if you'd like to see a particular species or Theme for sale.

Not on this thread, Happiness, but you can set up an auction thread of your own. PM me if you are not sure how to do this, but of course make sure you've read the Pet Sale Conduct and Pet Auction Rules first. The Admins created those rules, and they apply to all pet auctions in Sylestia. The first post on this thread of mine contains a link to each set of rules.

Your bid has been recorded, Noodledragon518. You are the current high bidder on Pet #1, Alatus.
And yes, you may bid on as many pets as you wish! I will have to add that to the rules.
